Patrick takes $3 million from pro-Paxton PACs, then helps Paxton walk scot-free.

All the Republicans who voted to impeach Paxton in the House are gonna get nuked by the TX GOP. Same with the whistleblowers.
Amen. I hope they stomp enough out of those RINO s to fertilize Texas.

    Ok I need help here.

So I have taken money from someone and "concede liability".
Because I have admitted liability there is no penalty. hmmm...
Yeah Im not getting this. Except its not a real court, its the Texas Senate.

So I guess no one was hurt or damaged by this. Except it cost the state some money to look into.

Did Paxson ever say the accusations were false?

well, there are the AG employees who got fired and are suing him now.

I honestly don't remember when Paxton went from saying the whitsleblowers were "rogue employees" with a false story, to stipulating their facts. Probably to avoid discovery and to keep witnesses off the stand, to minimize the public damage.

A public servant with any sense of honor or responsibility would resign. Paxton prefers to abuse his power and the legal system at the same time.

Paxton has repeatedly suggested that there's no longer a controversy, now that he stipulates plaintiff's claims that he fired them wrongly.

Paxton basically admitting to the facts underpinning one of the impeachment articles is the low key revelation here.

Essentially, the situation that we're in is that we have a criminal AG that hasn't been held legally responsible for his own actions yet. And who stubbornly remains in office, even after he admits in a lawsuit that he broke the law. .

The Nate Paul thing that precipitated the firings could come back as a criminal referral, or it could evaporate.

Your side does it all the time. You can dish it, Winester, but, you can never take it, son.
