He was only 4th in minutes totals because of injuries and trades. In minutes per game he was 7th on their current roster.
The issue is the tax for an ownership that has historically been almost as cheapskate as the broke Spurs.
They got Nesmith on a good deal, but they still have to pay Nembhard and Turner's deal is ending after next year also. Halliburton any Siakam is what, $90 million next year?
LOL, I love these. Jordan Poole sucks so bad he's not even worth the league minimum
Supposedly all year Batum's wife was insisting he retire if they can't be in LA
Teams waiting for the PG13/Klay Domino to drop?
He's not going to be CP3 but considering what the Spurs had at PG last year and what he understands as a vet I think he'd be fine for the MLE for a couple of years. Really don't see what the downside is. He's not going to be an awful player.
It's extremely hard for the Knicks to remove their hard cap. Basically if they trade less salary than they bring in (like they did with Bogdanovic for Bridges), they are hard-capped at the first apron. But if they add a player so that they send out more salary than they take in, they are hard-capped at the second apron. They'd have to send out one player making more Bridges, and they can't do that without really cutting into the quick of their team. It would be interesting if teams were just unwilling to let the Knicks alter the trade, forcing them to renege on the OG or Bridges deal.
About ing time we get Batum in a Spurs uni.
Man, I just want Batum and I know BWrong still won't be able to get that done tbh![]()
Poole was third worst in the league in VORP last year. Just edging out Branham.
OKC landing Hartenstein would be nasty. They'll be the biggest obstacle for us during the next decade with just how much better their coaching staff/front office is tbh.
League needs to turn a blind eye to tampering, like the good old days. They've officially made the start of FA boring af.
Was pretty obvious they were going to get him once the Bridges trade went down.
Slowest free agency start I can remember.
One year deal only hopefully (which means 2 years with TO 2nd year)
Yeah not a surprise. Just jealous of how much better they are at everything. BWrong & Co. wishes they could hold Presti's jock tbh.
Caruso trade, the Topic pick, and now they'll probably shore up their biggest need in Hartenstein. And they'll still have more picks than the Spurs. Just chess vs checkers tbh.
Knicks should offload Randle if they are smart. They don't need him at all.
Yeah new tamper rules are doing their job. But make everything boring.![]()
It suggests the new regulations are actually successful so far. Yes, we've gotten done deals reported when they should've been just "both sides are heading toward X deal", but by letting the re-signings have an earlier start, it seems like the NBA has given media members "legal" deals to break while keeping the ones that would suggest tampering down considerably.
LOL Clips trying to trade Westbrook
Anti-tampering rules appear to have worked
nobody is giving you an asset to take on Zach in Collins. Offloading him would cost us multiple 2nd rounders at least. The Bucks ain't that stupid to trade for him.
Crazy that he opted into an LLE deal likely knowing he wasn't wanted.
Ugh can just see BWrong getting him to mentor Castle with those Minnesota picks
