    Bouyeah > Wesley tbh
I know 3rd year players don’t typically play in summer league, but I sure wish Wesley would’ve played in this one. If anything, he would’ve benefitted from the reps.

Castle has outstanding court vision. He’s right, he’s a point guard.

Guess you’re a glass half full guy…I watched that half and just felt like Castle’s jumper needs so much work Pretty much airballed a wide open mid-range jumper from the FT line, and then had some total bricks from 3. I know he made two but some of those misses were just ugly.
What do you think of his FT shooting form?

Not bad considering it’s all just beginning for him though. I mean, I can see him getting to 35% maybe at some point. That would be good enough for me considering the rest of his skill set.

Pop is still lucid for a 75-year old man, but he does sound like he's lost a step.

Are we on board with Castle playing style being a mix of Jimmy Butler and SGA?

    Or is there better mix?

Also, I just looked it up. J Butler is a career 32.9% 3 pt shooter. Last year was the first time he ever shot above 35%. Interesting.

For sure - I’m not trying to say that I don’t think he’ll ever become a good shooter. I was more so just remarking that I didn’t leave that half going “Wow, he’s already a much better shooter than advertised!”. I think he has a lot of work to do but that was expected and doesn’t mean he can’t improve or that he won’t be a solid player in the meantime while his jumper is still developing.

His form, both on actual jumpers and from the FT line is decent enough. He does seem to sometimes be pushing the ball to the hoop but all in all you could do much worse *cough*Sochan*cough*. I don’t think the work ethic is a question so hopefully he’ll work at it and improve but I fully expect him to be a below average shooter as a rookie. Would love to be wrong.

Pretty much everything else about his game has been as good or better than advertised so overall I’ve loved what I’ve seen.

Pop was interviewed just now and said Cissoko is the type of player he’s aways dreamed of and that he will be a special player and Castle will play a lot early since he’s a quick study (paraphrasing)

So the "journalists" had the opportunity to ask Pop questions about the short term strategy but they'd rather ask about eastern european wines...?

Me too, especially with the fact that he'll likely only play when Paul or Jones are out.

He could see minutes at the SG, but that only happens if his outside jumper comes around.

Bouyea could have a future as a 3rd - string PG, but Wesley is younger, bigger, faster and stronger than him. Not sure the need to dog one Spur to praise another, but that is the ST way.
