    RIP

That's pretty bad. Both killed in like less than 1 month of F-16's in operation?

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs (Mark Milley) seemed very against giving fighter jets to Ukraine. Ultimately, the US is not giving them (other countries are) but he's right that they are hugely expensive and provide limited benefit for Ukraine.

^ Gen Charles Browns comments being reported on any real news sights?

tater only has a couple Fake News tweets.
It's not a credible source. I suspect there are many at the Pentagon that agree though. There's almost no military value in taking Kursk, especially given how undermanned Ukraine is in the Donbas.

Cutting Kursk - Belgorod line secures Kharkiv and makes for a logistical nightmare for Russians. It more-or less forces entire front from Kherson to Kharkiv run through single logistical node in Rostov. This is basically a mirror image of WW2 where the entire Russian southern front from Stalingrad to Cuacasus was run through Rostov.

I can only imagine the real goal was to divert major Russian forces but they didn't take the bait.

They most likely wanted to take the Kursk nuclear power plan hostage.

Had they achieved this it would have neen a huge problem for Russia.

They can still attack it but that would give Russia green light to flatten Kiev would it cause a nuclear accident

I've seen video. Could be friendly fire, but certainly looks like civilians are getting s ed there.

I think we already knew about it. Rumors is that it was shot down by a PATRIOT missile.

Do you think Russians are targeting and killing Ukrainian citizens with intent?

There's no great outcome for Ukraine vs Russia. No matter what, it will be a giant vs a midget with gifted brass knuckles and steel-toes.

The only ones who really benefit from Ukraine fighting the good fight are the military contractors and Europe at large. Russia has burned through every bit of political and economic capital they have on the global and European stage to conduct this war. If they had won in a few days as originally planned, Russia would be in a far stronger position. As is, I don't see a great outcome but Russia won't even think about being aggressive versus NATO nations for the foreseeable future. It's a win for us, but Ukraine is pretty much ed in 5-10 years, max, as far as I can see.

There's no path to the kind of no compromise "total victory" Zelensky has put forward time and time again.
