While OTF was at Spring Dekaney today, they learned the staff has invited WR Tanook Hines to a game this season.

Word around there is Texas would have a good shot to flip him if they decided to push.

On DE Smith Orogbo of Alief Hastings, OTF reporting he's chosen to shut it down for the year due to a knee condition he was born with.

He doesn't have any ligament damage or tears, but surgery will supposedly fix his problem and have him ready to enroll early at Texas.

Not sure if related yet, but 247 mentioned that Texas is "close" to being in a good spot to flip CB Dorian Brew of Conroe High.

He's definitely one guy the staff wasn't going to stop recruiting.

Brew is probably the guy IT was referencing, but 247 confirmed that Sark and Coach Joseph will be at Conroe High on Friday.

Their info on Texas' shot to flip him varies from "within striking distance" to him being satisfied with his Oregon commitment.

There's nothing scheduled between he and the staff currently, but the Georgia game is something one of their sources mentioned.

IT reporting Texas is showing interest in CB Zay Gentry from Anna, who was previously at McKinney High before his senior year.

Not only is he having a great season so far, but the staff is intrigued by his size, speed and special teams ability as a return man.

He wants to visit Austin soon despite his commitment to SMU.

I haven't seen this kid linked to Texas yet, but a name to keep in mind out of North Crowley as he's having an amazing senior year and is an absolute blazer.

Teammate of LB commit Jonathan Cunningham.

He's just now getting Power 4 offers, and a big reason why North Crowley was able to upset DeSoto a few weeks ago.

As a kid my first texas game was tech vs texas in Lubbock. Of course I am a horn. It was sooooo cold windy and sleeping. I was freezing my b$#@@# off. Tx won but a fun game . Wish tx and tech would play again.
