He says he wants to oettern his game off KD, yet playing more like Porzingis... Not to say Porzingis is bad, because he isn't... But Porzingis is a role player... A FAR cry from the goat conversation that ppl say Wemby has the potential for...

He is 20... The coaching staff needs to ACTUALLY coach and teach him ... If you just throw him out there to play pick-up ball, he is going to jack threes because that's very low effort and easy... You have to actually make an offense around him so he knows where exactly he will get the ball from possession to possession... He will get more comfortable with it in certain scenarios and make better decisions....

Yes he passes out when he is given in the low post with a guard on him... But you know what you don't do? Abandon it... Keep giving it to him and he will get more comfortable in that situation and LEARN how to post up guards without worrying about them stealing the ball

There's tons of players that learned to shoot without having them jack half of their attempts from 3 when they're not even shooting 30%... If the Blazers got Wemby and were coaching him without an offensive system like we are doing now... And surrounding him with ppl that can't shoot like Sochan, we would be clowning them as a franchise

It’s like when you catch your kid smoking, and you make him smoke the whole pack, and he gets sick. Pop is making Victor smoke the whole pack of 3 pointers. Kid is smart, and he’ll figure out how to balance his game. Coaching doesn’t always have to be ACTIVE.

He‘s shooting as many 3s as Donovan Mitc and hitting them at Westbrook’s percentage

If he shot his three's from the actual three point line, his percentage would go up. Please no more of this 27'-30' chucking.

There's TONS of perimeter players... Elite ones... KD is one... And none shoots the amount of threes Wemby does, especially at such a bad percentage... Where do y'all get this notion from that to be a good shooter you have to shoot a ton of bad threes? Steph shot 4 threes a game his first 3 seasons... KD now shoots 5 or 6... HALF of Wemby's shots are threes... I'm not saying don't take bad shots... I'm saying don't KEEP taking them and ruin the development of the other aspects of ur game

Yeah, the biggest worry with wemby’s shot selection is the mix of his two point shots versus threes. He’s simply not taking enough shots within the paint

Just make sure he doesn't get lung cancer in the meantime.

What other coach has ever done this with a poor shooter? Especially an NBA head coach? Has that been all of Russell Westbrook's coaches? Trying to get Russell to shoot until he realizes he sucks at shooting? Well, it hasn't worked for him. Not sure about Ex's theory on this one.

Victor's looking like a poor shooter so far that is taking terrible shots. I know he's a better shooter than he's showing, but taking terrible shot after terrible shot is not going to get himself out of it. You take easier shots. Geez man, any elite shooter knows this. You take easier shots to get yourself going. I would never jack up shots from mid court if I was missing all my shots (Even if I wanted to [which I wouldn't], I'd be benched immediately). I'd be looking to take a few inside the arc to get myself going first. Those mid court shots are only shots I'd shoot if the shot clock was winding down and I have a clean look. Definitely not at the start of the shot clock (I'd only take that kind of shot if I was already red hot as a heat check if I'd already made a few), and certainly not the shot to get myself going. I have no idea what Victor is doing, and if the coaches are telling him to keep doing this, then they have no idea what they're doing either.

There's not too many actual real life Steph Curry's out there, but it seems like many people think it's OK to take those type of shots. 95% of people shouldn't be taking those type of shots.

I assume this is one of Pop's "let's baby my star player to avoid another Kawhi situation" philosophies. Bricktor needs to develop a midrange game.
