Two other things I've seen on Fasusi...
- 247 has Coach Gilbert as a "game changer" for Texas in his recruitment currently
- more than one site believes A&M finished second for him when he committed to Oklahoma in August
He posted the following this afternoon:
"The Florida Gators are making a major run at 4-star++ defensive lineman and Texas commitment Myron Charles (Port Charlotte, Fla./High). OnTexasFootball has been told that Texas has felt pretty good about conversations since the 6-4.5, 310-pounder made a visit to Florida for the LSU game over the weekend. With that said, there is also some confidence on the Florida front. The Gators are working to get Charles back on campus this weekend for the Ole Miss game, and attempting to pressure Charles to open up his recruitment early this week. Texas and Florida duking it out for one of the nations top defensive lineman."
Maybe someone else has seen that possibility as things stand, but I haven't.
Assuming A&M beats Auburn and Texas defeats Kentucky, the winner next weekend will be in the SEC game against Alabama, Georgia or Tennessee.
A loss for Texas should see them remaining in the playoff picture, but A&M loses and they're out.
Texas is ranked #3 again but the way ESPN has been on them and granted yes Georgia beat them and there have been offensive struggles but man... If you've never seen all of the games Texas has played and just go off by ESPN you'd think they were utter trash and have 5 losses on the season. I just really think all of this is faux outrage per usual by ESPN with anything they do when it comes to rankings.
The father of DB offer Kade Phillips from Fort Bend Hightower told 247 they are a possibility to be in Austin this weekend.
Phillips is the second of four prospects that IT was asked to keep quiet.

I've seen guys like McElroy and Pate mention recently they believe a loss to A&M should eliminate Texas.
I can go through many historical comparisons as to why I don't think that's the case and that argument collapses on itself.
However, I think it's funny they're talking about that in the same breath as a one-loss Boise State getting a first round bye.

This includes bowl games? That's insane.
