Pacers sign F Curry; waive F Fowlkes

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) - The Indiana Pacers on Monday signed small forward Michael Curry and waived forward Tremaine Fowlkes.
The 36-year-old Curry, who played in 70 games, including 15 starts, for the Toronto Raptors last season, has averaged 4.6 points and 1.6 rebounds in 649 career NBA games with five teams.
Prior to being traded to the Raptors for Lindsey Hunter in 2003, Curry spent two seasons playing under current Pacers coach Rick Carlisle as a member of the Detroit Pistons. Curry made 152 of his 262 career starts in those two seasons.

The 6-8 Fowlkes averaged 2.4 points and 7.0 minutes in eight games this season.
