Huge. That plus the Russo brothers is a major steroid injection back into this thing.
The reveal was ing crazy.
Reminds me of wrestling when they heel turn![]()

Seems like Doom will be introduced in FF with RDJ playing a variant of Dr. Doom that gets transported to the MCU.
Thanks to the multiverses, Marvel and DC get to do whatever they want without worrying about continuity
I saw Deadpool & Wolverine yesterday. Very fun movie. The surprise appearances are great.
Lazy by Marvel….
Since RDJ already played IM, I’m guessing Dr Dr Doom is from another universe ?
That’s the problem with the multiverse, you can do whatever you want and choose the easy path and in this case it’s obvious they are using it to bring back their cash cow (RDJ)
FF4 looks cool tho (leaked trailer)
The only thing about RDJ playing Doom is that RDJ is a snarky guy by nature while Doom is so serious. Definitely can't see it being a fun role like Tony Stark was.
Agreed
RDK is good ro snarky roles , lr on comedies (he was awesome in Tropic Thunder), but be was ass in Oppenheimer
FF is set in a different universe so it sounds like Doom will be from that universe. Presumably Galactus destroys their universe and they and Doom come to the MCU. That seems to be why the FF are going to be in both Avengers movies now with them trying to stop Doom. The basic outline is promising, though getting RDJ back is confusing.
To be fair, Marvel was already repeating casting a lot. Alfre Woodard played a role in Luke Cage then Civil War, Mahershala Ali was also in Luke Cage and Blade if that ever happens. The guy who is going to play the Thing was in both seasons of the Punisher. Gemma Chan who plays Sersi also was in Captain Marvel in a different role. RDJ is just the highest profile and it sounds like he's playing actually playing Doom not a Stark varient.
I ing hate the multiverse, what’s next, brong back Chris Evans as ….idk… some marvel character from another universe?
that’s different and that’s fine, they were in those older Netflix shows that Feige barely acknowledges and it wasn’t in a multiverse setting anyway
What they are doing with RDJ now is bull
How weird would it be to see him play another character like the Human Torch or something. It's just not right
The odds of him coming back again as Cap seems pretty high tbh. It is a little weird though that RDJ is coming back as a different character though.
Maybe, but the Netflix series are now apparently cannon so it's basically the same thing. I'm guessing that like the female Silver Surfer that's going to be in FF, Doom will be a variant and we'll actually see the "real Doom" in the MCU at some point. I think the bigger issue is that they dumped a major villain in Kang instead of recasting him. That's far more lazy but I'm ok with it if it means that the Fantastic Four becomes a major part of the MCU faster, which it seems like they will with them being in a movie in 2025, 2026, and 2027.
He’s definitely making a Human Torch variant cameo at some point, same with Jessica Alba and everyone else in those crappy movies.
that would kill the budget

Yeah I like to pretend I'm not, but I'm a sucker for stupid cameos. That's why I'm pretty sure I'm gonna like Deadpool 3
Lol

I'll delete, my bad
I hope the story makes sense because I'm going to have a hard time separating RDJ from Iron Man. The Russo brothers did pretty well with the last Avengers movies so I'll keep an open mind. I would have preferred someone like Jeremy Irons as Doom even though he's up there in age.
that is funny
The new Dead Pool was good. I'd say 8/10 just for the laughs and the outstanding montage of Wolverines in one segment.
welp, Marvel officially gave up and Evans is coming back for Doomsday
