Champ has shown that for as much a bargain his contract is and a reliable shooter he is, he's also dumb as .
I can understand assembling these guys this year or last and just realizing they ain’t it. See what you can get at the deadline or ride out the season and regroup. But some of these guys have been on the team 3 or 4 years. Yet another “run it back.” At what point has Brian Wright realized he’s got 12th men playing significant minutes and role players as “stars?”

There's no way i believe the Spurs FO can see it either
Some serious offensive gameplan issues tonight, just look at the shot distribution. Insane
Say what you want about Keldon but at least he plays hard every time he's out there.
BRIAN WRIGHT VOICE: No, we definitely have a plan. As soon as Pop, RC, and myself get extensions we will be happy to share it with you.
That's the issue.
His effort gets him a bigger role and then he ruins winnable games.
That’s why I actually have a hard time criticizing him too harshly. At least he’s leaving it all out there. Even if it ain’t much…
This was a game like last year in which Vassell chucks a lot of shots but hardly makes any and Victor is non-existent. Victor was a dud in this game.
I feel like he hurt his hand. Then after he got pushed around a little he basically just starting staying up top and ignoring the paint a lot.
PATFO dgaf about game to game results/form, they just care about the big picture.
They'll tell you Spurs are ahead of schedule being a 50% team and that next year it'll be the next step blabla
He's also won some games because of that effort. Not saying he isn't dumb as a board, but at this point Vassell/Collins (backup C in general)/coaching are bigger issues imo.
Reminds of a really really poor man's Klay.
Also as BatManu20 said, Wemby has had some soft moments as of late. Even if it's just him quitting that itself is a big issue tbh.
Man, what a game from Castle and Wemby. I thought it was about to be a great night after the Dr J circus shot, but no… the Spurs had to be as successful as an LA firefighter, sucks even more with Chris Paul was rolling back the clock. The give to KJ strategy sucked to watch too, thanks Mitch
Has anyone blamed this loss on missing Sochan?
The Bucks announcers blamed some of the early defensive struggles on missing Jeremy.
Didnt watch this game
Is Wemby still trying to imitate Durant and chucking 3s?
Has he even had 1 post move in the last 3 games?
It could be indeed, I recall seing him massaging his hand again later...
But he was still acting on the block so it can't be that bad + less shots that Castle?
Either he's under the weather like vs Okc or he's passive aggressively sending a message
His problem is that he thinks he's better than he is...
He plays hard when he's free to basically do whatever he wants when we're down against other bench players.
Imagine if he could accept his role? He'd be starting over Sochan.
It's really when the schedule got harder with better teams and more road games.
He was rubbing his eyes a lot, maybe some allergies or maybe picked up something. Either way, didn't look like himself.
Plenty of guys on the roster that think they're better than they are. That's on coaching too.
Young team, two or three just want to dunk on somebody then they blow the coverage at the other end or cannot bring the ball up the court. Basic G league . Have to wonder about Castle and that rookie wall though.
They were noticeably more physical with him early on and were pushing him away from the basket and it just totally took him out of the game mentally. Soft as . He began settling for long, contested jumpers, turning the ball over, and deferring to his teammates who also (predictably) sucked. show all around. Having the elite length of both Brook Lopez and Giannis together seemed to with Wemby's mojo though. That can't happen. Hopefully just part of the growing pains of a young player cause he's going to have to get stronger and learn to play through the physicality of bigger/older teams. He also desperately needs better players around him to lessen some of both the scoring and defensive burden.
