Might be a blessing in disguise. Devin is trending into inefficient chucker who can't defend status. And year's 5 and 6 tend to be where players are who they are regardless of age. Pretty soon Devin is not going to be viewed as a player with potential he is going to be viewed as what he is. And if anyone takes a look at some of his advanced metrics...yikes.

ATL getting involved makes sense. They have SAC's first this year (though protected) and I bet they desperately want their own first back this year now that Jalen Johnson is out for the season.
Adding in PHO and MIA makes things more complicated but might be necessary for those teams to get what they want, especially with Beal not wanting to go to MIA. Though I don't see why he would want to go to SAC or ATL or anywhere else in that case.

I don't see why Beal would waive his no trade clause to go to the Kings and given the need for shooting + wing-forward depth, losing Barnes would be a bigger blow than it should be.
