To think, our previous best trade deadline deal ever was getting Nazr Mohammed. Great day for the Spurs and for the fans! I’m not here nearly as much as I used to be but I’m always following the team. Enjoy this guys!

I can't believe The Bulls and Sac allowed the Spurs to get Fox while not giving anyone out of their main player rotation and still allowed them to keep the 25 picks.

I'm pretty floored too. To get Fox when the best asset you send out is the Minnesota 20131 is unreal.

Not a great defender or in the pick and roll, coasts in games a lot, so a bit of a prima Donna.

He'll be overpaid in a few years, but we can figure that out later.

A bucket-getter, can be clutch. Puts a lot of pressure on the rim.

Gave up basically nothing for him.

Spurs got Harrison Barnes, a SAC swap, Fox, for a fake CHA first, a mediocre CHI protected first, our own SAS pick when we might be quite good, and the TOR pick we didn't really want to use.

I expect another trade before the deadline. The roster doesn't quite make sense yet.

Apparently he recently sprained his right thumb (non shooting), but has been taping his left pinky and index fingers (shooting) since training camp. Hopefully the ASB gives him some respite.

I get what you mean. In retrospect, SJax didn’t pan out, but we got rid of RJ and then rang 2 years later.

Not sure why everyone thinks we should keep starting CP3 at this point. He can backup Fox or a contender can pay for him. We got our PG, we dont need him anymore

This should also keep Castle in the role that he's made for: 2 guard with playmaking upside.

He's not a lead PG but absolutely deadly in a Jrue type role. Hopefully Fox gets back to being at 36% from 3 and Castle gets there in a year or so.

Easily the second greatest trade in Spurs history after the G. Hill for Indiana's pick (Kawhi). If we win a couple of les with Wemby , you would have to bump it to the top conserding that is essentially a knock-on effect of the trade..

More hidden value is getting off the CHI protected first. So sick of playing the roller coaster like the TOR 2024 FRP situation and biting nails with this ATL 2025 FRP status. No more tightrope there at least.

Dumping the CHAs that became seconds was also a nice eleventh hour value reap right at the expiration.

One of those is the Charlotte 1st that will be 2 second rounders. The other is a Chicago pick that was gonna be top 8 protected.

The '27 Spurs pick in theory should be late 20s.

The only one that hurts is the Minny '31 pick but it's 6 years away tbh

I thought Castle was our future point guard. I kinda think he thought the same.

Our 2 biggest weaknesses right now are, getting a big inside and Defense.

I don't see either of those being addressed here.

Fox is great, I get it. But as for helping the "team" get better in the areas we need the help the most....eh.
