Lmao that dunk by Steph off the DFox drop pass was hilarious. I’m so used to seeing him do a hesitation move right at the rim. Then as he dunked the ball, it looked like he also did a hesi right before he brings the ball down.
The way Steph can even hesi in the air is insane.

Welp, Fox makes it impossible to tank, I guess.

Just going with the flow at this point.

Tank? Okay, cool. Win? Okay, cool. Play-in? Okay, cool.

If the Spurs had Biyombo all season they'd have 10 more wins tbh.

Barely remember Mamu's limited minutes when he played but why is he nailed to the bench? Is he really that bad? Spurs only had 4 bigs to begin with and 2 of them are injured. So Mitch decides to only play the person on the 10 day contract?

you could see the moment cp3 initiated the fox show at the end. he told him exactly what to do, and to keep doing it, and it paid dividends.

Fox bringing what the Spurs sorely need as a hot hand go-to closer that can help put games away. Remembering that Christmas game where Bridges cooked us and then the Paris game where Hali cooked us. Spurs lacked a guy like that not necessarily comparing directly but just a brilliant finisher offensively that can help ice things. Fox had a decent first 3 quarters if not subdued slightly and then exploded in the 4th and pretty much dealt the death knell though by the looks of it Phoenix was doing a pretty good job of that themselves.

CP3 ran some pretty sweet pick n roll with Biyombo but again not sure if that's just ty PHX defensive effort. Figure better teams will take that away but we'll see. Wish we got Biyombo earlier like someone else said. Though, it's crazy he's 6'8, looks bigger somehow like a visual illusion. Might be the 7'6 wingspan that helps. Happy to hear Bassey is back next game and hope we don't see as much Barnes/Sochan lol. It will be interesting to use the Wemby absence to tinker with Biyombo and Bassey mins and see what's serviceable if anything. is Minix healed up yet? Might as well throw him in lol /s

that was Biyombo's last game. We'd have to resign him first.

Great win. But I rather they start tanking. Be compe ive but lose and get as high as possible draft pick. Fox can get his surgery. The season is over.

Well, just finished watching the game a little earlier. Didn't expect a win. As I thought, Spurs were going to try and make a huge push for the playoffs before the news of Victor being out. Seems like they're still going to try and do this. Don't know, maybe a bit early to say.
As I said earlier today, though, tanking is bad and they have to start holding players accountable and not letting them develop a losing mentality. I'm just not sure this group of guys is it, as all the losing the previous years maybe have played a part in them being so bad towards knowing what to do to win games.
I would rather a good draft pick, but again, I'd rather they play very hard and try and win. If they lose in that scenario, all good. Looks like Fox is making a difference at the end of games being able to get to the rim and make plays for others and/or himself.

Also, why is Castle not starting? How many minutes did he get tonight? He's not even closing the games much the past week or two of the regular season (less minutes in the 4th).

a lot is to be said about the mentality of a losing team vs a winning team. Since 2019, we have had a losing culture. We are the only western conference team since that span to not make the playoffs.
If the coaches play to lose, the losing mentality will continue because that is the culture that has been created.
Players need to become frustrated, need to hate losing, and that will only happen by winning.

But with that said, that was just one game. Probably simply an emotional game because of the wemby news and the guys played well against a mediocre team. So we still likely lose enough games to get a decent draft pick anyways.

But if i had to choose, I would choose win. We need to develop a winning a mentality.

    Why the did we win?
Because the games against Suns, Lakers and Rockets should always be played to win.
*Mavs not on the list because they don't matter anymore, dead franchise.

Lots of overaction (like usual). Phoenix is a dead team. They're done. And their big man rotation may be even worse than ours.

Funny how their assistant coach is trying to re-focus Bol Bol skills to playing defense. But I think Bol Bol’s problem is he’s not alpha enough to want it more than the next guy, despite all his skills.

People don't realize how done they are.
    Had a strong 9-2 start, 17-27 since.
They're not making the play-in unless Mavs implode and Spurs decide to tank.
