I think he's got Jalen Brunson potential. His play this year would indicate he's a top 10 guy if you didn't know his age. We do know his age and that knocks him down quite a bit. But I don't think it should drop him to #45 in this draft. I see his value somewhere in the 20's much like I see the value of Tyrese Proctor (although their games are different).
I agree if FLA wins a National Championship on another big performance from him plus he does well in combine and workouts I could see a team going that high and pulling Clayton Jr like 25-35 ish perhaps 22-25 even. He also seems to have good demeanor and that poise is valuable to GMs. I have doubts as to just how he will translate to the next level but he is having a of a tournament. He's kinda short and seems more like a score first sg so at 6'3 and his age I think GMs will downgrade a bit for that but if there is a good fit in a limited role as a scorer at first and then see if he can establish himself from there some team might go for it. Players like Clayton sometimes do the Duarte tumble though and Jacquez is another example so teams might be wary of that. Also agree Proctor should receive good interest.

Some team will take Proctor, and gamble.

    Definitely. ESPN darlings.

Coach K switched to getting 4-5 five star recruits every year and turned into a Coach Calipari turnstyle of freshmen every year. Just one mega class after another. K never won a championship after that and Scheyer is a worse coach by a good amount. This year they came close because the college year was pretty bad, but it's a risky model.
I've been beating this drum for years. He was never that good of a coach. He's the Mack Brown of college basketball.

At least he didn't try to burn down the program on his way out like Mack's ass.

Or hang on to his BFF offensive coordinator for years too long. Coach K was at least self-aware enough to see the writing on the wall.

I hate the running clock in college.

I know they use it sometimes in the NBA but it's so dumb that a team can burn 5-10 seconds off the game clock in clutch time just by making it hard to inbound quickly.

There are more 0 star high school recruits starting in this championship game than five star high school recruits.

Hakeem is one of the greatest centers ever, relax. Remember that Wemby literally smirked when Houston got the 3rd pick and not the first.

Could Condon be a SRP backup C option? He's a little Zach Collins-y.

Hahaha wtf. Choke job by Houston.

Houston used up all their luck against Duke. Needed an epic choke job to advance.

Congrats to Florida being the national champs.

Congrats to Houston for being the third best team in the country.

Congrats to Duke on being the best team in college basketball.

I don't understand Houstons offensive scheme in the last 10 minutes. Stop bringing Florida's best defenders to the ball! Morons

What a choke by Houston. They led almost the entire game until the last minute. Terrible.
