More or less.

LMAO thats classic.
He's looking right at the money too.
who's the greatest 2 guard in spurs history?
gervin? ginobili?
the greatness that was vinny del negro?
Ginobli couldn't even hold Iceman's jock!!!
Yeah? Ginobili has two NBA rings, and Olympic hardware. That's at least holding Iceman's jock, when Ice didn't sniff either of those things. If anything it means a comparison is too difficult.
Thought we were comparing them as players, not the teams they played on. Spurs would have won as many or more les if Iceman was the 2 guard on Duncan's team.
thats all?
I can't believe how stupid some people are, and how quick they are to say a player is better because they played on a better team. By that logic, Steve Kerr is better than Duncan.
BTW, who gives a flying about Olympic or International hardware? Maybe it would mean something if the best players in the world actually competed, until then STFU about it.
I probably just hurt ATX Spur's, Manu-loving feelings by saying that Iceman was better than Ginobli. I'm guessing that ATX Spur is not old enough to have even seen Iceman play. I, unfortunately, am damn old and saw Iceman perform for his entire NBA career (missed his ABA days as it was tough to see ABA games on tv). Ginobli is damn good player but he's not in class that Iceman was.
wow ... 4 years on a spurs team and people are already saying that iceman < manu ... that's just too far fetched. I'm not old enough to have watched him, but I do brush up on my history. you're talking about a player with multiple scoring les and one of the 50 greatest of all time ... and arguably one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history.
and all this olympic talk is moot. pro players weren't allowed to play olympic ball in gervin's day and the statement that bakrid made about international and olmpic ball not meaning ... well that's the reason USA basketball has turned to over the years... because they've become pretentious and apathetic.
a lot of ignorance in this thread.
looks like i was being a hypocrite. nobody really said manu was > gervin... just that he should be held in the same regard. definately not now, maybe in a few years.
International ball doesn't mean because the best players in the world won't or don't compete, not the other way around. I never said that it didn't mean and that is why they don't compete, you got it backwards.
