There's a thread about it in the NBA Forum with a lot of people discussing the trade there.
I don't think the Spurs would have any interest.

Now that the poor man's Josh Howard was traded away from the Mavs do we have a chance at getting him?

The trouble with Marshall is that he is a very poor man's Howard.
no he's actually good at rebounding, shooting, and playing D. a hustle player who would be a solid backup for Bowen. he started some games and looked pretty good
hes not a poor mans josh howard
hes a homeless mans josh howard
Like Matt Barnes.
no all men are created unique
We already know that.
If we're considering Melzer....
Someone else would probably claim him off waivers before us anyway.
Are y'all confusing him with Josh Powell? Josh Powell is way better than Rawle Marshall at this point.
We don't need a seventeenth power forward.
I'm not so sure. From what I have seen of the two this year it looks as if Marshall has a bit more upside than Powell. He's longer (swingspan) and just as athletic as Powell. Needs to build his upper body some more but I think he can contribute quite a bit to some team down the line.
Rawle Marshall has way more upside than Josh Powell. Powell has already peaked out and he has been a disappointment in the Summer League. Marshall is the second leading scorer at the Summer League.
