Felt like OKC was gonna win this series in 5 for most of the game. That chokejob definitely makes it interesting. Curious to see how a young team responds tbh.
what was OKC doing there in 4Q? Like Caruso trying to wedge between Joke and who was it WB? Why even force that? Allowing DEN to get into the bonus early. The SGA challenge was kinda stupid right? Chet picks up his 5th. Just felt like such a bad stretch of poor decisions to allow DEN to claw back with something like a 17-6 run or something. Was amazing to see Nuggs keep getting everything they needed.
This toothpick makes Wemby look like he has Tim Duncan's core strength. He is so easily dislodged by smaller players

This Nuggets resurgence is also an indictment of Mike Malone.. It seems like by the end of his time there, he was essentially cancering it up.. Spurs were not touching him with a 10 foot pole..
Who the is Denver's shooting coach. That dude turned Westbrick into a 42% corner specialist and AG into a legit 3pt threat.

Yeah, the people who still make lame jokes on reddit or twitter about Jokic being "fat" or "out of shape" are complete casuals, and have a great confidence in their faulty eye test methods, when in fact they're entirely relying on things they heard 5 years ago, and now parrot. He changed his workout routine and his diet, and has found real & impactful results. His stamina is as good and often better than any other star in the league.
Hard not to love the Nuggets if you're a Spurs fan. Jokic is just such an amazing player yet so humble and doesn't do lame, childish "go to sleep" gestures like Curry.
I thought Adelman is pretty good coach.. at least not so much BS as Malone
Aaron Gordon is one ugly mother er and really hard to look at, but he’s been huge these playoffs.
the main thing I see is how animated Jokic is now in time outs. He's leading and coaching the team. When Malone was there none of that was happening and Malone always asked for more leadership from his players.
As I said many times, OKC won't get anywhere if Williams and Chet don't prove they're worthy second and third option.
If they don't step it up, I can definitely see both of them being traded for Giannis, no way they're worth max rookie extensions on their current level of play.

joker played every trick in the book in. the 4th and okc fell for it hook line and sinker. also chet choked.
All the 60 win teams lost Game 1. Loving the parity so far.

The reality of Warriors-Nuggets & Pacers-Knicks conference finals just got a shot of life.
OKC is impressive as , but, not quite there yet as a playoff contender. Like Houston, they made a lot of tactical errors in a Game 1 that was right there for them.
Great playoffs. I'm looking forward to tonight's games.
