2021 was a way below average summer with three days of 100+, first not until September. Was also the year we had snow and no power for a week.

Holy this looks like July or August! What are the heat indices forecast? Is it a dry heat?
Thursday through Sunday look to be muggy as with SE winds and mid 70s lows. Monday through Wednesday at least it's more a SW/S wind so not directly off the Gulf of Mexico.
I believe it was the coldest year wire-to-wire in my lifetime (since '94) for SAT, but somehow Christmas 2021 still managed to be like 80 degrees and steamy.
Back in Texas for a week, baseline bum, got stuff to do before moving back north hopefully for the summer, but, ya aren't kidding, it's miserable down here outside. Fortunately I'm inside with the AC on. 99 today, mid 90s (at least it's not last week) rest of the week, extremely sultry & steamy nights. Yech.
It's 101 degrees now. Yuck. AC is hummin' the banjos are strummin', I'm restraining not min' etc
Think this will be like the third day in a row the official high hits only 99 lol
101 at my house in Medina valley though. A little hotter & drier than the airport typically but more radiational cooling than the city in winter
Did feel more like Arizona this evening than here honestly. Dry heat for now
Ended up hitting 100 officially for the third day this year. If it was August and 100 with a dewpoint in the 40s I'd think ok this ain't too bad but ing ridiculous in May.
I love how every summer I come from Tennessee from college where it's fabulous and beautiful (except for the tornados last night) just to come back to this -hole.
I was out today this morning from 9 to noon around my dentist appointment and with the breeze surprisingly it wasn't bad, like I was hot but I wasn't DYING if that makes sense, the humidity is under 40%, dewpoint in the 50s and felt kind of like a dry heat like yesterday evening around dusk.
When I get off the plane in TVC it will be ....40 degrees. I'll be in a t-shirt and shorts, carrying two backpacks. After midnight. No Lyft or uber available that late. Got to walk about 3 miles to get back to my car. It's okay. At least it's chilly.
Tennessee is nice but from what I remember visiting Chattanowhere was always wet, raining the majority of the time but when it was sunny it was amazing. Beautiful scenery regardless. I miss my time out there every summer.
Summer? lol gotta be much further north than that in summer, or out west in the rockies.
It went fine
Happy first day of June, baseline bum.
It's 43 degrees here in Plymouth, Michigan. I'm going hiking this morning.
Hate me.
On the bright side, in SAT baseline bum this week looks to be near-normal back home. The weekend on the other hand, back into the lower 100s.
Normal would be like 91 or 92 in early June.
It got to 90 and steamy here in Grand Rapids, MI yesterday. I was dying. But then it rained overnight and it's been in the 60s all day and forecast high here for the next 10 days are all 60s and low 70s with lows in the 50s to upper 40s
baseline bum
This thread has been crickets this month, huh? About time we had a rainy early summer instead of stupid hot... 2023 will never happen again
Still got almost half the month left and expecting all this rain to lead to some crazy high heat index days the first time we get a strong heat dome over us. Same way in 2023 after a normally rainy spring we had days in late June pushing heat index of nearly 120 at the airport and multiple days of 124 in New Braunfels for instance. Weather Channel seems to be projecting a normal summer for once for us though. Right on the border of slightly above and slightly below average temps. So hopefully that means lots of 97s in August instead of 103s.
