If KD for Vassell/Barnes/14 does materialize, backup center either goes to Kornet who requires MLE, or hopefully can get Kalkbrenner with a small trade up who I think is probably going to return lottery value

Taurean Prince may be a target with the BAE - he's nothing to write home about, but has decent size, decent defense, and shoots the 3 accurately at medium volume which is about all you can ask for from a backup wing. Would give the second unit 2 good shooters and 1 sometimes decent shooter for Harper. It allows you to save your MLE to potentially be opportunistic about players to absorb for additional assets to replenish the draft stock for future years if the front office wants to prioritize flexibility.

I really like Howard. He pretty surely could teach Wemby some tricks while also helping on the court. If it's for the BAE, I'd jump on that. He always felt like a Spur type of guy (so did Grant Hill and Nic Batum).

If Spurs see something in a guy like Fleming, Sorber etc go for it but if not just go BPA (Demin, Coward, Bryant,...) regardless of position...or just trade #14 for future stuff.
We can address backup C and maybe even PF via FA even though my fav Steven Adams is off the board.

Ben Simmons is a 2k gawd. Dude can legit guard 1 through 5. Was just messing around and signed up to the Spurs during a franchise i was simming. Won 4 out of 5 les and he made all defensive 1st team all 5 years. He was top 10 in steals and blocks all 5 years.

He has all the agility stats of a guard and all the defensive stats of a big.

Done as a star or a starter? Probably. Completely done in the nba? Nah. teams will gamble a minimum salary on him for years. he can still legit defend at a pretty high level

I would think Brook Lopez will be the likely free agent center we sign. He and Mitch were college teammates. Brook speaks highly of Mitch and he can be one of Mitch’s guys and vet leader.
