let's hope that move was just made to have an extra second to package in a trade tonight...

Can use the cash to buy Ledger crypto.
Already looking like a "Draft Harper & run it back" offseason![]()
Spurs trading 38 for future second and cash to pacers
Cool now I can go catch a movie tomorrow, frees up my night
Three years in a row the Spurs turned their nose up at high 2d round picks.
Looks like Spurs fans can take tomorrow night off.
we don't need more players you brats! we need cash! that sochan max extension won't pay for itself!
i mean its fine to say they dont want 3 guys, but i would hold the pick until you at least see who is available. perhaps somebody noteworthy falls and somebody either than indiana is a bit motivated to move up for it. the ability to trade a current 2 for a future 2 isnt going to vanish
ima be salty if kalkbrenner is on the board at 38![]()
The Spurs didn't even wait to see who would be available for tomorrow. Probably wanted somebody who would accept a 2-way contract and didn't find any player willing to do that at 38
Glad we had the foresight to trade this 2nd for a future one, this 2nd round is SUPER weak due to NIL drops.
There goes my drake powell dreams
There are a few center prospects we could have drafted with that pick. Freaking develop some young big talent. Good !!! We’re just going to bring Biyambo back and call it good as a back up center. This franchise sometimes lacks creativity.
Love the strategy of using 38 and future seconds to try to move into the late 1st. Solid work.
14) Asa Newell, best big available.
38) Kobe Brea, best shooter in the draft.
Said the same thing last year but I really hate how they've been approaching the 2nd round these last few years. They pretty much won't touch anybody that won't agree to a 2 way.
There's value to be had there tbh even if NIL thins the talent pool. , OKC just won a championship with a bunch of 2nd rounders earning rotation mins throughout the year.
Although I wonder if this signifies them moving back? A trade with BKN for their late 1sts?
lol who am I kidding?
Wright gearing up to fleece the Kings yet again, tbh.
The timing does seem strange.
What is gained by doing this so precipitously?
LOL Absolutely predictable. Spurs don't value SRPs, even ones high in the draft (though there is a fair statement to say where you pick in the second round may not matter... the second round acts more as a pseudo free agency than it does a true draft).
This isn't a criticism, just an acknowledgement of fact.
