So I reckon our off season is done. Almost an A plus off season, but minus a 3&D starter.

Probably but the moratorium isn't even over yet, barely 3 days into free agency. Still tons of time

Eh, there's still unfinished business floating around. No one expected the DeRoz/Barnes stuff last summer. If the Spurs stop here, that's fine with me, but there's still Kuminga and some other crap that's being discussed in the league.

The most interesting part of this trade (as in things that weren't known before) is the TPE's generate for ATL. It's weird that NAW is listed as generating a TPE for MIN but he's not listed as an incoming player for ATL in the summary above... but long story short it looks like maybe ATL was able to fit NAW into an existing TPE, sign Kennard with the MLE and generate a new TPE for Capela... leaving some opportunity for ATL to continue to be active if they so desire

All the free agents that we could've been interested in are gone.
It seems that there's no real interest in John Collins or PJ Washington from our side, I can't really see anything relevant happening.

We don't really need more bench pieces, the best we could do is upgrading Keldon and/or Devin into a better 3-D wing starter.

I can't really think of anything other than calling Joe Dumars and convincing him he needs those Hawks picks to even things out.
If there's any chance of upgrading Devin into Murphy with those Hawks picks, it needs to be done.

Yep, this is what I keep saying. Wright has proven masterful at getting in on trades headlined by other teams, picking up useful pieces on the periphery for, essentially, free. My hope is that in addition to the things talked about (Kuminga, DDR) that maybe there are some other big, unexpected moves that give us an opportunity to pick off some useful scraps. The bigger the deal, the more opportunity for real pieces to be shaken lose.

so basically Fox and Wemby together will be 110 million minimum of the 290 mill cap in 2026. Forget any bigtime free agent. But im fine with it. Harper and Castle just need to be all stars. Build from within.
I heard the cap will be at 167 million in 2026. You got the numbers wrong. Would be 2027 not 2026. Still the cap won't be 290 million then either.

I don't think trying to get Washington from Dallas is out of bounds at this point, even if unlikely. The LeBron thing is still lingering out there. I do think there's a fairly strong chance he gets moved or something. That team ing sucks and he's got to know it.

    Collins is a no-go, IMO.

If I have any feeling, it's that the Spurs are sitting around and talking about getting involved if they can be opportunistic, like they have before. If nothing happens, they'll maybe pull in big man depth like Landale and call it.

I think first round picks will only be on the table next season. They probably want to get to the playoffs, lose and see what the missing pieces are. Even though it's cleary 2 forwards.

We need a third stringer regardless, I'd personally prefer getting another reclamation project like Bassey. High energy young guy that has a lot to prove.

any chance Wemby doesn't win DPOY or make All-NBA?

If he doesn't something went very wrong and I'd rather not root for that just to be cheap.

hawks had 25mil trade exception from Murray. KP's salary was too big to fit there. they used that for NAW

I just hope Luka doesn't extend with the Lakers right away, they'd be in full panic mode all season long.
He really has no incentive to stay there with Miami having a clean cap situation with Bam/Ware/Herro as the only players on the roster and all but one of their picks.

    Oh .

This feels like Denver-Val ran a con on SAC. Val will probably give back all of the guaranteed $$, be made whole by the Greek team, while DEN moves off Saric and generates additional cap savings. They’ll probably just reup Jordan.

And here we thought DEN’s management wasn’t cheap, lol.

As a backup Hayes is fine imo. Zach Collins level backup but a backup nonetheless.

Sounds like Horford is going to the Warriors and they’re just waiting on a potential Kuminga sign and trade first.

Good pickup for Warriors if true. Probably solidifies them into the top 7 of the West. Horford is a solid upgrade over Post/Looney/TJD. Unless Curry shows any signs of slowing down then they’re a chance to fall below the Spurs.

Gotta root for the Lakers to be good enough to make the playoffs. The NBA gifting them Dybantsa or Boozer is the last thing we need.
