Rollins looks like he could develop into someone like Andrew Nembhard. I wonder if they’re doing this because David Duke Jr basically didn’t want to be a Spur anymore.
Rollins is a good player and can play off ball too.
Good shooter, can handle a little and is decent defensively as well. He’s probably not a minimum player which is why Bucks let him go.

I'd be open to giving Ryan Rollins a tire kick and training camp invite. He seems like he's a a bit of a composite of Wesley and Branham. Might be worth consolidating them into one player.
Not sure how much the Spurs would offer and if another team could draw more interest.
The more I watch the more I like. Adding Rollins is like adding a third first round pick. The tape looks good, kid is talented.
I’m not trying to say there is something going on… because I obviously have no clue… but signing Rollins to a deal with the remainder of our MLE would make a lot of sense if Bran or Blake were headed out in some other deal that landed us some forward help……. Just saying.
A shooter to replace the inevitable Devin Vassell trade is a useful addition to the backcourt so I’m in on Rollins

Oh, so Shaq's son and Bol Bol are friends? That would explain some of it. Maybe Shaq was thinking Bol Bol was going to be legit due to the skills he seems to have on the surface, and also with him being in close proximity to him due to his son playing with him. Unfortunately, it appears he's been wrong about him.
But do Branham and Wesley have any value whatsoever? I can see some team like Sactown talking themself into Branham being a sparkplug once he changes scenery and I somewhat like Wesley as third stringer (or what you call it behind our guard threesome).

Branham is too far gone, shooting guard that doesn't do anything other than scoring is the easiest archetype to find. He's also tragic defensively.
Wesley might have some teams interested in taking a flyer, he could be a very good defenders and there are plenty of teams that don't have enough guard defenders.
This kid looks like a solid player. I would love to have him in the Wesley/Branham role instead of those guys. Would be a great get especially if the Spurs can ship those other guys off in a deal for a forward.First clip here's Ryan Reynolds.
I see no reason for him to even consider the Spurs, we don't have any PG minutes available unlike those other teams.

We create theories to why the spurs might be looking at or interested in certain guys but I bet the spurs were just fans when he got drafted and now he’s a bargain bin player they could add like Julian was.
Regardless of our positional needs, whenever there's an opportunity to add a potentially good player for a minimum, you do it, no questions asked.
The question that needs to be asked is why would Rollins join us when we're arguably the most stacked team at point guard position instead of joining other teams that don't have any guard depth?
My guess would be those teams are offering minimum deals and the spurs offer a little bit more than the minimum. Spurs have a reputation of building up guys value
As a 4th guard who can shoot he’s a nice add though i imagine he’d go elsewhere with a better role.
he’s still quite young, a good shooter, and freakish wingspan for a guy of his stature. I’d give him the 2 year deal with some of the BAE

Ryan Rollins Pleaded Guilty in Larceny Case
It was a redemptive story for Rollins, who was waived by the Washington Wizards in 2024 after the young point guard was charged with seven counts of petty larceny in Alexandria General District Court, The Athletic reported in January 2024 after being caught shoplifting household items from a local Target store while he was with the Wizards.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported in February 2024 that Rollins pleaded guilty to a single count of pe larceny, a misdemeanor, on Jan. 31, 2024, while the other charges were dropped.
“His 30-day sentence was suspended and will be expunged once his unsupervised probation over six months is complete. He also paid court-ordered res ution on Feb. 1, along with a small fine associated with the case on Feb. 13, 2024,” the report added.
So he’s a thief. How’s his steal?
