We have Wemby. You Don't.
And we aren't going to trade him so we don't have to pay the supermax for a broken-down star and spare parts...
Mavs are delusional if they think Flagg = Luka. Flagg will have to be a top 5 player in the NBA. There were times as a Mav Luke was a top 3. I think Flagg will be good, but I don't think he will ever be at Luka's level.
Totally. Nico and the Mavs are still at a big net loss with this trade.
Question is actually is Flagg plus Unibrow better than Luca. If Flagg can quickly develop before Davis falls off a cliff and Irving recovers to a reasonable semblance of him self the Mavs could have a 2 year window. Although they come out behind in the trade I think they have better odds at the LOB over the next 3 years than the Lakers do.
mavs giftwrapping luka away for basically nothing
yet somehow they are still ahead of the spurs because wemby is more fragile and soft than anthony davis
Getting lucky in the draft doesn't stop that from being the worst trade in the last 100 years in pro sports. AD will need to be all-NBA level for at least a couple of years just to get it out of that territory
The fact that Luka got in shape, I'm guessing with help from Lebron's "trainers" is kind of a spit in the face of every Mavs fan.
Luka is going to average something stupid like 34-12-12 this year. Just out of spite.
Luka has got to be the favorite to win MVP this year. Even if it doesn't translate to a huge number of wins the LA-bias will be strong. Of course, Flagg will be the favorite to win ROY so it'll be a push...
Man, Laker fan can be so annoying with their threads up in here!? Oh wait…
Flagg is going to start. There's no real way Harper can win ROY. The voters already hate SA tbh. Everyone knows that Wemby should have won DPOY his rookie year.
Don't forget to mention the voter fatigue factor - SA has won the last 2 consecutive ROYs, and I doubt many people want to give them a "three-peat" unless unquestionably deserved.
Thankfully, the Spurs look to be aiming for higher prizes this season, so this shouldn't be much of a concern, similar to OKC's perspective during the Chet/Wemby ROY debate.
Nah, he was insufferable, absolutely good riddance. I don't mind a shtick at first, but there was no development of character, and no arguing possible with an idiot who could only resort to spamming the same meme picture over and over.
You know who's gotta come back though? ElNono. Miles better
Maybe they do, but that's not who they should be compared to - it's not about having better odds than the Lakers or another team, but the fact that they'll have much better odds than the Mavs themselves would've had if they never shipped Luka away.
You don't shoot yourself in the foot, and then smile 'cause you're better off than the amputee...
Mono is just tongue in cheek.anyone who takes him seriously is falling for his bait. Way better than some of the head homer Laker fans back in the day like 21 blessings, medvedenko and cobbler.
Do you remember that for brains Alanon.
It does not matter how fit you are when someone crashes into your knee
It is a coping mechanism. We would probably be doing the same in their shoes (heck, folks were talking themselves into Derozan back then).. Doncic, love him or hate him (and i despise his character), is a bonafide special talent and true generational offensive force--from the first day he stepped on an NBA court really. Good luck to Mavs fans who think Flagg can match this body of work in his first 6 seasons there..

If Kyrie comes back anywhere close to what he was I do believe this iteration of the Mavs had a better chance than the Luka Mavs.
