If Texas beats one of Georgia or A&M and finishes 2-1, the question will end up being what team would the committee feel comfortable putting in ahead of them.
The Florida loss was inexcusable, but Ohio State basically won't be treated as a loss.
They will have beaten #3 or #5, #11 and #14, and played at #1.
I haven't looked at it, but my guess is the majority of the teams going to the playoff at this point won't have that résumé.

A note to file away is Coach Scott offered and received a commitment from Walker when he was at West Virginia.

On RB Jett Walker of Georgetown High...IT mentioned the staff has fully communicated to RB Derrek Cooper that they need more numbers at the position.
My guess is they've told him they'll be going after a portal RB too.
