I never called her a traitor. So, not ducking. MTG is an adult, I'm sure she'll survive.

Trump said some pretty ugly things about his fantastic Secretary of State. Maybe you should pay less attention to what he says and more to what he does.
you just told us all that we need to pay attention to him saying "I support releasing the files" while he hasn't done jack about them.

You s will shield him at all costs, huh

1997 recollected by a contemporary reporter

During the flight to Palm Beach, I sat in the front of the plane, where Eric, at his father’s behest, fast-forwarded through “Bloodsport,” the Jean-Claude Van Damme martial-arts free-for-all, to eliminate all plot exposition. I no longer recall the specifics of Trump’s monologue along the way or my efforts to keep it coming. As we were about to land, Maxwell made a call on her cellphone—still a relatively rare consumer commodity in those days—and Trump joined in on the conversation by shouting from the front of the plane. They were speaking with a mutual friend named Jeffrey—no surname—in a tone that came across as knowing and intimate in an inside-jokey way, but opaque. Repeatedly, Trump addressed Jeffrey by name, and Maxwell, the interlocutor, whose default mode struck me as preprogrammed conviviality, seemed amused by all of it. She and Trump plainly shared something, but it was strictly between them and Jeffrey. By then, I’d spent enough time observing and reporting about Trump to conclude that he had no true friends, the sine qua non for a lasting, loving relationship being the ability to subordinate one’s needs to another’s. I once asked Trump whether he considered himself ideal company and got back, “You really want to know what I consider ideal company? A total piece of ass.”

Why did “Jeffrey” take root in my memory long after other details of the weekend had faded? Even if I’d heard the name “Epstein,” it would’ve meant nothing to me. It was because I’d had a glimpse into something that seemed suggestive and worth knowing but minus any elucidating context that it lodged in my brain, subliminal but retrievable. It would be more than twenty years before I had an inkling of what that something was.

is there a statute of limitations for the disrepute that attaches to being the friend of the most famous teen sex-trafficker in the world?

not rhetorical, Trump started exploring running for president in 2000 (Reform Party)

Why does Trump continue to hide his Epstein files he could release at any time?

I'm going to try and get this thread back on topic...

If convincing evidence is produced that shows Donald Trump engaged in illegal acts with minors, I hope he burns in with the rest of Epstein's criminal cohorts. But, I don't believe the facts will bear that out.

Since the Senate passed H.R. 4055 (The Epstein Files Transparency Act) by unanimous consent, I keep wondering why Trump has yet to sign it. I waited for it to be signed yesterday and then, again, today. But, then it occurred to me, there's an even bigger question; Why nobody — especially Democrats — is making a fuss about the delay. I mean, these are the same Democrats who’ve been pounding the table for these files ever since they lost the government-shutdown fight. You’d expect them to be screaming:

“Why hasn’t he signed it yet? What’s he hiding?”

But instead… total silence. Then, when you look at the facts that have come out so far, the silence starts making perfect sense:

Everything we’ve learned so far actually exonerates Trump and puts him in a good light. He cut ties with Epstein years before Epstein’s crimes were public — allegedly because Epstein was recruiting girls from Mar-a-Lago. Epstein was arrested during Trump’s first term — not under Clinton, not under Bush, and not under Obama.

Democrats, not so much. Epstein was coordinating with Democrats to target Trump. He was texting with a Democratic staffer during a congressional hearing to steer questioning against a Trump official — long after Epstein was already a convicted sex offender. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries solicited donations from Epstein after his conviction and even offered personal access. That’s not ancient history — that’s the current leadership of the Democratic Party.

Larry Summers and several other high-profile Democrats show up in the early disclosures too. The pattern isn’t accidental.

And here’s the kicker — the point nobody seems to want to talk about, even though I've brought it up several times: All the Epstein files people are demanding now were in the hands of a Democratic administration for four years. Four years. They didn’t release them.

So why would Democrats now accuse Trump of “hiding something” when they sat on the same material for an entire presidential term?

You can see the trap they've set for themselves:

If they attack Trump for not signing immediately, the obvious response is: “If these files were so important, why didn’t you release them when you had them?”

So they stay quiet. They wait. They hope the disclosures don’t get worse for their side.

Meanwhile, Trump holds all the leverage — because the silence from the people demanding the release is louder than the delay itself. I think it behooves Trump to just let the Bill become law without his signature or, sign it on the last day of eligibility. The close he can get this scandal to the mid-terms, the better.

    You're dodging me too.

You're the one who said your Trump is hiding his Epstein files because they could damage him. How you just shut the up about it when you were called out.

The victims want the files released. I agree with them. I want them to testify before Congress if they wish. They deserve to be heard in that forum.
Called out for what? You don’t even know who you’re talking to. I voted for Harris, fool.
