IT reporting Texas is taking "a very aggressive swing" for five-star WR Chris Henry, Jr. out of Mater Dei.
He's been committed to Ohio State since 2023, but the loss of Hartline to South Florida today has caused a delay in his signing.
They believe Texas is running third right now behind Ohio State and Oregon due to relationships, but the staff is very determined after their losses on the OL and DL today and it's a development worth following.

And WR Jalen Lott of Frisco Panther Creek hasn't signed with Oregon yet.
IT added that Texas should position themselves accordingly for Lott if Henry, Jr. chooses Oregon.

IT followed up on this with Wiltfong and he says Texas' offer and aggression are "resonating" with Henry, Jr.
He's not ready to put in a Texas pick at this time, but they're definitely in it.
On3 saying Henry, Jr. is definitely a relationships guy, but Texas' offer is "so significant" that they have put themselves right in the race.
