Meanwhile, more than two million Epstein files are still unreleased — and lawmakers have questioned the extensive redactionsto the 3.5 million that have been released. And in the same Reuters/Ipsos poll where 66% of Republican voters say the federal government is currently concealing information about Epstein’s clients, 69% agree that “it’s time for the country to move on from talking about the Epstein files.”

USAG Todd Blanche, Trump's personal defense lawyer as late as 2024, seems to be stonewalling
New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez is accusing the US Justice Department of withholding access to unredacted files related to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, arguing that the lack of cooperation is preventing the state from bringing justice to survivors.
“Every day that the USDOJ withholds these records, the foundation upon which a New Mexico prosecution could be built erodes,” Torrez wrote in a scathing letter to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on June 30 that was publicly released on Thursday.https://www.cnn.com/2026/07/09/polit...letter-blancheIn last week’s letter, Torrez outlined six attempts from the New Mexico DOJ office to reach the federal agency, including a February 13 request for do ents and an effort last month to set up an in-person meeting during Torrez’s visit to Washington, DC.
“Despite verbal assurances of cooperation from the USDOJ, access to the requested records has not been granted, no substantive response has been provided, and more than 130 days have now elapsed since the (New Mexico Department of Justice’s) initial request,” Torrez wrote. “The NMDOJ views this length of time as an unreasonable delay under any rule of reason.”
James Comer, dumb as a brick or he thinks you are
DOJ told NM to back off in 2019
https://www.ms.now/news/james-comer-...-epstein-ranchI do know this: The federal government asked New Mexico to stop their investigation — I believe, back in 2019 — of that ranch. So there’s just so many questions about how the government failed the victims and how government failed in trying to prosecute Epstein sooner. I mean, this whole thing doesn’t make sense. Everyone has conspiracy theories on how Epstein was able to get away with it. Was it because he had powerful friends? Was it because he was an agent? We don’t know, but we’re gonna find out and I’m glad that they’re on the ground now in New Mexico searching that property.Rather conveniently, Comer made no mention of who was president in 2019: Donald Trump. Nor did he mention that Trump appointee Bill Barr was leading the Department of Justice when this purported chicanery took place.
