I just noticed that HHS Civil Rights office has deleted its webpage about the Supreme Court's 1999 landmark Olmstead decision, which guaranteed the rights of disabled people to live in their homes rather than being ins utionalized.

masked goons and rioters violated Americans' rights in Chicago

Immigration agents assigned to Chicago frequently wrote in reports that they were “targeting immigration violators” in a “confined, civilian-heavy environment” with a goal to “enhance public safety.” The agents often claimed civilians attacked them or refused orders before agents used force.

But a state commission is offering a competing picture. Based on video evidence and accounts from locals’ harrowing experiences with agents, the Illinois Accountability Commission found that the Trump administration encouraged agents to act recklessly.

“Federal officials did not just tolerate lawlessness,” said commission Vice Chair Patricia Brown Holmes, a former Cook County judge and county and federal prosecutor. “They encouraged it, they shielded it, and they made a grand bargain with the agents to deliver arrests: Occupy the city through fear, and we will protect you, even if you violate the Cons ution.”

ICE is now Trump's thought police

The incident, which was first reported by local news outlet Syracuse.com, was unsettling in many ways, but one part stuck out to Gonyea: the warning notice said it was sent by ICE’s Office of Professional Responsibility.

“That office is supposed to be for internal investigations,” says Gonyea, “and now they're using their own internal departments on American civilians.”

OPR is supposed to act as an internal watchdog. It’s responsible for inspecting detention facilities, investigating allegations of employee and contractor misconduct, and processing security checks for new applicants. On its site, it says it also protects against “external threats” by managing badge access to buildings and maintaining the agency’s network security. But lately, court do ents indicate, it appears to be pursuing more civilians like Gonyea for what they say online.

Pentagon extends Trump's pretextual military occupation of Washington, DC until inauguration day, 2029

The National Guard will remain activated in Washington, D.C. through Inauguration Day 2029 as part of President Donald Trump's anti-crime mission, unless the president deems otherwise, according to the Pentagon.

"The DoW remains committed supporting the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and our Federal law enforcement partners until law and order are fully restored in our Nation's Capital," a Pentagon official told 7News. "The D.C. Safe and Beautiful Mission has been extended to Jan. 20, 2029, or until terminated by the President."

As of July 8, nearly 5,150 National Guard troops from multiple states are in D.C., according to the joint task force. Nine states and territories are providing support for Freedom 250 and associated summer events from May through the end of August.
