I suppose the over-hyped but exciting Ted Ginn Jr. might be one to watch this year now that Holmes has moved on. I read where he worked with the DB's quite a bit this past spring.
Reggie and Matt played in the Pac-10 too and they still won it...

"Plays in PAC-10" meaning......outside of SC, UCLA is the only team that fields any players with a realistic chance.

Mark my words ... Steve Slaton will win the Heisman. Only two things could prevent this from happening: Louisville or an injury. Most people haven't even heard of the guy, but he is awesome - just ask Georgia's defense in last year's Sugar Bowl (record 204yds rushing). If WVU can get by Louisville, they will go undefeated and wind up in the BCS championship more-than-likely. This would only bolster his image. Last year's phenomenal team was full of Freshmen and Sop res, including Slaton and QB White. Almost the entire team - offense and defense - is back again this year.
Yeah, I've seen that WVU sched & they have a very easy road to a BCS bowl.
I think after last yr that the auto BCS bid for the Big East shouldn't be.

I, too, have some issues with the BCS system, but wonder why you would make the above comment after WVU beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl last year?

It is like having UT take WVU's place in the Big East...There is no way to realistically stop them.
Upsets do happen but come on, Have you seen the teams that left the Big East?
Louisville could hang with a lot of teams. Bona fide BCS? Maybe not. But then how many conferences have 2+ bona fide BCS teams? I'm sure now that OU's starting QB and offensive G were booted, they will drop far down the rankings. That leaves only Texas in the Big-12 as a bona fide BCS team. The Pac-10 only has USC (if you count California then you will surely have to count Louisville).
I'm not saying the Big East is some powerhouse from top to bottom, but it has some powerful schools in it still.
