this sucks because han was a good guy. unfortunately, he has a thing for injuries. but i don't see it as a huge loss because i think, in the end, powdrell could do a good job. he looked very impressive during the spring game.

LOS ANGELES -- USC fullback Brandon Han will have surgery for ligament damage in his left knee and won't be able to play this season.
The 6-foot-1, 230-pound senior was expected to be the starter after being the backup last season.
"My immediate goal is to still be involved around here, be a leader and train for the NFL combine and do what I can," Han said.
He was the Trojans' starter for most of 2003, then redshirted in 2004 after having surgery on his right knee, and also having a ruptured chest muscle.
Used primarily as a blocker, Han has a total of eight carries for 19 yards in his career, with 24 receptions for 277 yards and two touchdowns.
He hurt his knee during a routine drill on Monday.
Jody Adewale, Stanley Havili and converted linebacker Ryan Powdrell are expected to battle for the fullback job.

Preseason USC fans: His loss will not affect our team's ability to win another championship - our team is much stronger than just one athlete.
Postseason USC fans: We could have won 2-3 more games - including the Fiesta Bowl - had it not been for Han 's season-ending injury in the preseason.
I seriously don't like Injs to any player on any team.
I think the SC RB by committee is going to be just fine.

It is the o-line that I'm still not sold on. Against lesser comp the Trojans will/should dominate. Good thing ND game is late in season & @ LA.
I seriously think if DMc is able to play @ anywhere near 90-95% in Ark that SC will have trouble that early in the season.
