I can forgive Spurs fans on this one, considering it was the Pistons who traded Sean to H-Town.
It's a good guess, but it's not correct.

Off the top of my head...
1. 89-90 Spurs I believe...they were the #1 turnaround team until the 97-98 Spurs bettered that mark...
2. ummmmm...might that have been the 96-97 Spurs? The year the entire freaking team was on IR? The year before Duncan?
Excellent job Travis, Stud. While the 1st one was fairly easy...the second was not, and you get props for guessing it.
Technically, the 96-97 Spurs are the worst one year turnaround in NBA history, losing 39 more games than the previous season, the largest actual mark...but the Bulls get the extrapolated mark(and frankly they have can have it).
Now for extra credit:
On that team, that team that was the worse single turn around in NBA history, who lead that team in minutes and games played, and what makes it unique among other Spur teams?
Avery led the team in minutes played. On that team, that team that was the worse single turn around in NBA history, who lead that team in minutes and games played, and what makes it unique among other Spur teams?
Cadillac Anderson led the team in games played.
Both players played in SA, went elsewhere and came back to SA.
My bad, the second part of the question should have said games started. You got it right the way I asked it though. Excellent job.
Avery Johnson lead 96-97 Spurs, the second worst single season turn around in NBA history(thew worst if you are counting actual losses from the previous season), in minutes and starts.
Well that is true, but I wasn't asking a question about the individual players. Both players played in SA, went elsewhere and came back to SA.
Let me rephrase it:
That Spur team, as a team, stands apart from every other team in Spurs history for what reason?
They sucked. They had more different starting lineups than any other team. They had 12 different players that started at least 5 games for them. No player averaged 20PPG for the season. Worst record.
That question is so ambiguous, that you could come up with a million correct answers.
Forget looking at what individuals did...We are talking "team", the team as a whole.
And I assure you there is nothing obscure, ambiguous, or vague about what this team did....It's achievement, dubious as it is...is iconic in Spurs history. Think in terms of absolutes.
You were on the right track with: "sucked"...

Does anyone know the answers to these?
'Anyone want to know the answers to these? I think Chopper knows.![]()
Well, I would have said "worst record" if you already hadn't said that was the wrong answer...
I don't and I would...
What Spurs coach has the worst winning % in Spurs history?
Didn't one of the assistants go 0-1? Without looking it up I can't remember the name...
No, Rex Hughes, a Lucas assistant went 1-0.
Well, I just looked it up so I know the answer...turns out my initial inclination was correct...but I ignored it.
I'll let someone guess it since I looked it up...
I would have thought Tark the Shark, too. I remember Mo McHone took over for Bob Bass one year and he didn't do very well, so I'll guess Mo.
Hey Jim are you including the ABA Spurs and Chaps in the worst winning % question? I'm not sure if it matters but 'thought I'd ask, just in case (?).
Mo is the answer, and no , only Spurs in SA.
Yes, it does matter...there were 2 Chaps coaches listed with lower W/L% than McHone...
I said SPURS coach....It is my question, Travis!!!
Chill. I wasn't disputing you.
Now that would be another tough question right there. I can remember Cliff Hagen was a player coach with the Chaps for a while and Tom Nissalke a coach...but that goes way back to when I was a Chaps fan as a kid. Who had worse records than McHone, Travis?
There was a player who actually played with a toothpick in his mouth while he played...during games...for the Dallas Chaparrals! He thought he was cool and I remember little kids going out an painting their basketballs red, white and blue and dribbling around in their driveways with toothpicks in their mouths.
Anyone know who that player was? He was actually a pretty good player, though not famous. Feel free to use a search engine for that one if you care to.
