Why do nearly all USA uniform code required round-neck tee-shirts under the top blouse, even in the of mid-summer?

Yup, 4 months ago it was announced. They were issued them in June I think. Right in the middle of the summer. Darker=Hotter. Sucks huh? Brilliant. I hope they never go to black. That'd suck. BUT...the trend's moving in that direction. , when my Dad was on the force (retired about 3 years ago) the traffic officers used to wear baby blue with WHITE hats. He in hated that.

I've talked to a couple of cops & they said they are not really liking the unis..they say they seem to be getting into more conflicts with people who are drunk etc...people seem to think cops with the new unis look more like security guards & we all know how people act with security guards...alot of police are still wearing their old unis, until they will be forced to wear the new ones.

They have a 6 month transition period. January 1st- ALL patrol officers will be using those unis.

I don't know about them being issued..

They had to go purchase them suckers... and they aren't cheap!!
