PR marketing garbage. I don't know if he's a bad guy or not, but his public persona makes the guy very easy to hate. He seems like a selfish, arrogant, smug, prickface .

A lot of player are arrogant...Iverson..Barkley etc.

But they have the guts to say what they mean. You have Kobe who acts completely smug, arrogant etc. on the court, and then gets on the mic and puts on that big phony smile and talks about his teammates (who he probably never talks to) and the respect he has for the opposing team.

I just can't stand the dude.

..I remember an interview Manu Ginobili gave after at halftime of a Denver/Spurs game during last years playoffs (im sure you all remember more than I do). During the interview, he called Denver a poor defensive team, criticized his own play during the last couple of minutes, and actually made an insightful comment about the second half.

He came across as a bit arrogant...but I really liked the interview. So much that I still remember it a year and a half later! Probably because it was the most honest thing I had heard in a long time.
