Few people want to interview Rasho Nesterovic. My guess is nobody knows who he is and those few who do, don't think he can converse very well. Like an awkward kid at a dance, Nesterovic feigns busyness. The cell phone is a particularly useful tool.

I guess Doug Smith read that. From today's Toronto Star newspaper:

Before anyone asks, here's a list, from top down, of the best English-speaking, non-English-speaking Raptors. And we'll leave out all the North Americans.

    Rasho Nesterovic

Uros Slokar (they must really teach English as a second language to young Slovenians)

    Jorge Garbajosa

    Jose Calderon-Andrea Bargnani (a tie).

So when you see interviews in the next few weeks, have in mind the fact we, and the TV talking heads, might not be talking to people because the language barrier is too hard to hurdle at the moment.

Actually Eric Smith did talk to Rasho.

    HOT AUDIO--
Rasho's interview is in Part 1-- third interview.

    http://www.fan590.com/

Basically, he said that he knew something would happen wth the Spurs this past summer because they did not win the le and that changes would be made. He is really glad that he got traded to Toronto of all the places he could have been traded because of the culture and its international feel. He is looking forward to a new challenge, saying that last year was last year and this year is a new year. Brian Colangelo has said that Rasho looked like he found new life in the World Championships.

    Sorry, no interview with Uros.
