I took a "jab" when I commented about the article but other then that I thought it was interesting. Your moderator "ChumpDumper" is constantly taking "jabs" at others throughout the political forum and that doesn't mean those threads are immediately closed. If he can't take a "jab", then maybe he shouldn't offer up his opinion in the forum that he ing moderates.
Oh, and I gladly would have stated this in the "minimum wage" thread but ChumpDumper took a quick "jab" at me then closed it down.

It was about minimum wage rates throughout the United States and how people living off minimum wage have seen the cost of virtually everything in the US increase except for their earnings.

has made their point. Chump may have made a mistake,

he certainly does at me. That is what the forum is all
about. You give your lumps and take a few.

Kori and LJ have done a damn fine job on this forum
at keeping it ad free and keeping out of everyones way.
Chump more than likely has learned a good lesson.

then, that is me. Maybe he did. But most on this board
have been called everything, but a nice person, and

Actually, I've often wondered, how the do they keep this thing free? Or allow advertisements? I would think they would make a wonderful second income running this site that way. Don't get me wrong, I like it this way, I just don't understand why they don't profit off of it.

I concur. LJ and Kori run a very well moderated site. The political forum is run very well IMO. Extremists on both sides as well as moderates, progressives, democrats, republicans, err., libertarians, neocons, doves, war hawks, chicken hawks and all other views can be expressed in here.

It seemed to be the only point of the thread. It's not a "no personal attacks ever" policy to make folks play nice. It's a "no threads used soley for personal attacks" policy because allowing them can lead to pages and pages of them that push down the legitimate threads that are the real focus of each forum. I allow all kinds of personal attacks on me, so I don't see what the problem is. If your true purpose was to start a real discussion about minimum wage, you certainly could have put more of your own thoughts into your initial post besides the insult, couldn't you?

Then explain to me how Boutons posting an article and then saying "Repugs are ing idiots" over and over and over again at the bottom of the page any more legitimate?
