I always wondered why terrorists hadn't gone after something like this.
This would ing suck on so many different levels.
Authorities supposedly have uncovered a plot to destroy 7 football stadiums across the US.
Government doubtful of NFL threats

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Web site is claiming that seven National Football League gridiron stadiums will be attacked with radiological dirty bombs this weekend, but the U.S. government on Wednesday expressed doubts about the threat.
The threat, posted Oct. 12, was part of an ongoing Internet conversation led "New Attack on America Be Afraid." It mentioned NFL stadiums in New York, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland and Cleveland, where games are scheduled to be held this weekend.
The Homeland Security Department alerted authorities and stadium owners in those cities, as well as the NFL, of the Web message but said the threat was being viewed "with strong skepticism." Homeland Security spokesman Russ Knocke said there was no intelligence that indicated such an attack was imminent, and that the alert was "out of an abundance of caution."
"The department strongly encourages the public to continue to go about their plans, including attending events that involve large public gatherings such as football games," Knocke said.
The FBI also expressed doubt about the threat.
The nation's alert level remains at yellow, signaling an elevated risk of an attack. The threat level for airline flights is at orange, a higher level, where it has been since a foiled plot to bomb U.S.-bound commercial jets was revealed on Aug. 10.

ino i would go kill those terriorist my self if they got rid of sports or hurt some of my favorite players.
Yeah, I couldn't imagine anything of this magnitude actually happening. It's just plain sick to think of striking a packed stadium.
This is just me rambling, but how many people end up really thinking they could be victims of a terrorist attack?
I would say 99 percent of Americans fly, but how often? Before my trip to DC (in May 06) via Memphis and back, I hadn't flown in about four or five years. So how many people really consider themselves as possible targets/victims?
The reason I ask the rhetorical is this: What kind of impact would even a serious, credible threat on sporting events have on the average American?
It's pretty scary to consider how many lives would really change if that came to pass.
I remember watching a movie called Biowar or something like that, where terrorists released some contagious biotoxins in the air that take a few days to kill you. The first attack was on a cruise ship, then at a football game. Since the was contagious and took a pretty good amount of time for symptoms to be seen, the toxin would be spread throughout a large area killing millions. I forget how it ended. I think they shot the last terrorist before he could release it...or he did when they were after him, but it couldn't spread cuz of rain or something. A lot of people died though.![]()
According to ESPN, there is "serious doubts" to the credibility to these claims from all points of the government and the NFL, but I would still imagine that precautions would still be made.

If this is just someone's idea of a sick joke, then his ass should be arrested.
I have wondered about them attacking stadiums before. This first popped into my head right after 9-11, because I started to think about where they could try and strike around my area to do maximum harm, and the worst place I could think of is at Memorial Stadium at a Nebraska football game. During Husker home games, if Memorial Stadium were considered a city it would be the 3rd biggest city in the state. Without a doubt the most amount of people in a small space for possibly hundreds of miles.
That and it being Nebraska would throw this country into a tizzy.
Everyone...come to Ford Field in Detroit. Safest stadium in the country.
Ya'll are in the Meadowlands this sunday.
See...we are the safest stadium in the country.Doesn't matter if we are home or away.
I read a few years ago about a dirty bomb scenario involving Conseco Fieldhouse and how these things can happen.
If this thing went down...oh damn it would be so over. Nothing pisses off Americans like messing with their sports...and if indeed Houston were involved...You want to see how fast Texans grab their guns?
Sweet merciful crap!!!!!
You mean to tell me that there is a chance that fans attending the Raider game in Oakland this Sunday could possibly become MORE mutated?!?!!??!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
