That kid is really impressive. He had like 8 blocks against the Mavs tonight and he's got really good hands and footwork.
unless the bobcats match it, since they have his bird rights
Unless he has an early termination clause and exercises it, he won't be
Where do you get your information?
Rip Hamilton is signed through 2010. Tim Duncan is signed through 2010. Jason Kidd signed through 2009. Marion signed through 2009. Gilbert Arenas signed through 2009. Baron Davis signed through 2009. Jermaine O'Neal has an opt-out after THIS year, 2007, not 2008. Otherwise, his contract is through 2010.
And, you can't count guys like Dwight Howard, Andre Iguodala, Emeka Okafor, and Jameer Nelson, because those players will most likely get extentions to their rookie contract.
Where did you get your information again?
If Patricia's site is accurate then at least some of this list is accurate.
You're wrong, all these players have a player option (or an ETO) in 08.
This is what is at the top of that website:
"Taken from where ever I could find the information (newspaper, web pages
reports, and various team media guides). As such, the information may
not be accurate or even correct [the league and teams generally don't
share the salary information so most of that comes from speculation or
leaks]."
Link please.
picnroll link is quite good.
link that you're right.
You are for sure wrong on Duncan, Arenas and O'Neal.
I know that Arenas has public discussed using his '08 option if the Wiz aren't a contender level team, even sacrificing money to be on a top contender, so for him it sure looks like Patricia's has hit the nail on the head.
picnroll's link said the information might not be accurate.
I looked up salaries on hoopshype. Not saying hoopshype is completely accurate either, but I'll take it over a website that says it's not sure if the info is correct.
Hoopshype is wrong on O'Neal because the CBA doesn't allowed a team option while there are three year left on a contract. They are wrong on Duncan (cf Ludden's articles) and Arenas (cf picnroll's post)
Hoopshype is for sure unaccurate.
Links please. When did Arenas discuss his 2008 option?
As for JO's contract, when was that CBA rule implemented, because JO signed that contract I believe in the summer of 2003. Was it a rule then?
The following links are for Jermaine, Duncan, and Arenas. So, if you're right about JO and he has a player option after 2008, as it does verify in the first link, it doesn't verify that for either Duncan or Arenas from the same source.

I'll trust a site that doesn't say anything about whether it's accurate.
i love when people make re ed comments like that.
You're tiring.
Lets waste 15 minutes of my life, just because you don't trust me.

1999's CBA :Desiring to play for a championship contender, Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas will seriously consider opting out of his contract in 2008 if he doesn't feel the franchise is committed to building a le-caliber team, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation.
http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap99.htm#48
In the old CBA, you can have a player option while two years are left on your contract only when you have signed a 7 years contract.
With the new CBA, you can only have a player option on the last year of your contract. (there is no more 7 years ocntract)
For Duncan :

The list should be right too for other players but search for links by yourself if you don't trust it.Tim Duncan
Contract status: four years, $79.2 million (2008-09 and '09-10 seasons at his option)
Thanks for the work.
I did some searches myself and found some Arenas articles. Just wanted you to do them too.
No need to be grumpy pants.
So, some of the original post is accurante, not all.
That's fine.
Again, thanks for your work. I trust you ... for the most part.
The only part that isn't accurate is "i laugh my ass off if kidd/JO/brand takes huge paycuts to sign with us just to win a ring..."
Even though there is conflicting information not even from hoopshype (USA today source) that don't have some of those players like Rip Hamilton or Shawn Marion having an opt-out after the 2007-08 season? And, that Patricia's site even SPECIFICALLY STATES that some of the information on it might not be accurate or correct?
Ok.
Thanks.
I disagree....I think TDMVPDPOY actually will laugh his ass off if one of those players takes a paycut. The only part that isn't accurate is "i laugh my ass off if kidd/JO/brand takes huge paycuts to sign with us just to win a ring..."![]()
