they play in the east
and before the 'they play in the East' excuse comes out, they manhandled Utah in Salt Lake City just a couple nights ago. This team is really good, and has arguably the best bench in the league.
What a fun team to watch.
But to their credit, they beat the Jazz at Utah when we couldn't. Props to em.
As bad as the east is I would not be surprised if the Magic make the playoffs as one of the top 4 seeds. While I expect Miami to get it together the Magic have a great shot at winning the SE division. Miami will be content with making the playoffs I don't think a divsion le matters much to them.

7-3 versus the East (defeated Chicago, Washington, Boston, Charlotte, Indy, Miami, Atlanta)
5-1 versus the West (defeated Utah, Seattle (2), Denver, Minnesota)
Losses - Philly, Atlanta, Indy, Memphis
ORLANDO'S WINS:
Chicago, Washington, Seattle twice, Minnesota, Boston, Denver, Charlotte, Indiana, Miami, Atlanta, and Utah.
Combined record of teams beaten: 73-86
ORLANDO'S LOSSES:
Philadelphia, Atlanta, Indiana, and Memphis
Combined record of teams Magic lost to: 24-36
Combined record of teams Magic have played: 81-115
Teams of the 14 teams they've played that have winning records: 3 (Utah, Denver, Indiana)
GO MAGIC! Nice to see my other team beat the Jazz even if the Spurs didn't.
Hill's scary when he's healthy.. he got good rest because of 7 years of injury..![]()
That Memphis lost was a mirage. The Magic led most of the way, and just couldn't hit a shot down the stretch. Not worried about it.
Nice to see them on the top of the East. Dwight and Hill are playing really great. If Hill will not be injured then they can be even in the NBA finals.
Memphis is 4-11 and don't have Pau Gasol. Memphis should not even been within striking distance.
Fact is, Orlando has one impressive win, and that's against Utah at Utah. And, I'm not even that impressed because I think Utah is really just a slightly above .500 team that's playing over its head anyway.
Orlando has lost to Philadelphia and Atlanta. That's just horrible.
Let's see what happens when they start playing real teams.
The combined record of the 14 teams they've played is 81-115. Even if you take away those games that Orlando played against those teams, those teams are a combined 77-103.
Let's see if they can keep it up when they start playing better teams.
Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson & Grant Hill are all playing great. Hope they keep it up. It's also a good thing that they got rid of Steve Francis. Jameer would've never developed if he stayed and hogged the ball.

At least they're backing up the talk that most people had of them being the most improved team in the East.
Is it too early to call a Magic-Jazz Finals match-up?
Just kidding.
