He's better at charity than at basketball.
Tomorrow, Stephon Marbury will hold a press conference at Steve & Barry's in which he's donating 3,000 of his $15 "Starbury Ones" sneakers to every high-school player in New York City. "Other companies just give to the top schools like Lincoln, Grady and that's not fair," Marbury said. "I figured I'd do something different and give it to everybody."

Props to Marbury. More NBA players should take his lead.
Marbury has always been a great person. Even when he got in trouble that one time with a DUI, he stood up and accepted his punishment, spending 10 nights in jail. After being traded from Phoenix to the Knicks, he came to find out Jerry Colangelo has surgery for prostate cancer. Showing no ill will, he sent a card and called him (as I recall). He gave a gut-wrenching speech on the importance of celebrity helping the hurricane Katrina victoms, donating both time and money. Then his shoe, now this.
Great guy, great talent, just a poor team player. Wish he could have success, but his skills just don't translate.
His skills translate he's just ed up in the head.
Im guessing his shoes arent selling that well.
I believe he was purposely was selling his shoes at a crazy low price in stores like Walmart only, I don't think he was interested in making a profit from them.
