before dropping bills on one? Not neccesarily looking for a street navigator type but wouldn't hurt. Kinda would like to stay below 3 hundred. Lot's of Garmin software on the which would be neat to try out.

I have 2 Garmins and am very happy with them. Avoid the Tom Tom as they are crap. Spend the money to get a good one.

What do you want to use them for? Hunting/boating/geocache?

Mainly for running the beach and marking structure, but would also like it for boating as well.

"24 MB of internal memory for lots of storage of optional MapSource marine, topo and city street mapping downloads" from Garmins site.

Do you think 24MB is sufficient. This unit would be awesome if it would accept a memory stick.

I use the Rino 130 and it has 24MB which is more than enough for me and all the TOPO maps I have on it.
