Are you kidding me? Did you see the angle he should have been on? He could have been behind the receiver if he didn't suck so much and decide to make a b line for the pylon for some reason that was totally beyond me.
very true, but this particular play was more of a miscue on watkin's part. he didn't pick up the receiver quickly enough and mcnabb made a great throw in the receiver's stride. i don't think roy could have caught him either way.

I've been tellin u for ages now..
Bledsoe blows.
no they wont
dallas-fecal game = saints-falcons game. alot of emotion involved that no team would beat that home team(saints and fecals).
Isn't it about time we stop with the America's team thing? I mean, nearly everyone outside of Texas ing hates the Cowboys and really, if there is one team that truly could be considered America's team and has most of the country rooting for them it would be the Saints wouldn't it?
Nah... The Cowboys are still America's team only because there's no other team in the NFL that attracts as much love and hate as they do. No other team can stir a fans emotion more than this team has for the past 30 years. TO or no TO.
The Cowboys still have that mystique they've been carrying around since the '70's when NFL films first dubbed them as America's team. Even during those lean years in the late '80's before JJ took over for Tom Landry.
Good point. So there is "America's Team" the Cowboys, then there is the "team that America is rooting for", the Saints. Huh, doesn't have as good a ring to it.
that emotion isnt going to last for long. after about 5 minutes of emotion from bledsoe, its back to throwing another 2 - 3 picks and getting sacked and pressured relentlessly.
The Cowboys are still considered "America's Team" because despite not winning a playoff game since 1996, they still poll as the second most popular NFL team.

That was extremely interesting and enlightening. Good post Michael. I'll never knock the "America's team" thing again.
Oh, and since when have I become an "echo boomer"? What the is an "echo boomer"? And how come we at the top end of the "echo boomer" age group have had our generation name changed so many ing times?
I was talking about Philadelphia this past weekend. Not the emotion for Dallas on Christmas night. And we need to work on things but so do you. You now go into the meat of your schedule. No more Green Bay's and San Franciscos. Not to mention you have to go to Dallas, New York, and Washington. If you do not develop a running game between now and December, you will be stuck with the same number of lombardi's that you have now....NONE.
And there are just as many outside Texas that LOVES the in Cowboys. I currently live in Alexandria, Virginia. This is the heart of Redskin country, our most hated rival. The 2nd largest fanbase in the area is the Cowboys. There are Cowboy fans up and down the east coast and in California. Stars like Lebron James and LL Cool J's favorite team are the Dallas Cowboys.
Yeah, after reading the poll that someone else posted, I'm inclined to agree with you. I guess I never realized the popularity that the Cowboys demanded..............makes me hate them that much more.
They demand just as much hate as well. Not just from fan bases in the NFC East, but fan bases all around the league. I'd bet if a poll was conducted for most popular/most hated teams, the Cowboys would easily crack the top 3 in both.
Another thing I noticed in Michael's link is that 3 of the top 5 teams are current fads (Steelers, Colts, Patriots) due to their recent success. Notice how the Cowboys and Packers hold steady despite the mediocrity they've been mired in for the past couple years. Those two franchises stand the test of time regardless of their performance and both have long been hailed as popular franchises due to their storied pasts.
I agree, although I don't know that I'd call the Steelers a fad. They have quite a past as well.
I dont think The Steelers are a fad either. They are very popular around the nation. Same with the Raiders.
The Eagles remind me of an underachieving version of the Buffalo Bills, circa 1992.
It's even more amazing after the past 10 years of mediocrity.
Yeah..I was hoping the bandwagon would have thinned out a bit by now. It's even more amazing after the past 10 years of mediocrity.
Alvarez my friend, again I must say well played.:
yea, they are looking quite good. hopefully they keep it up.
