I don't worry about football games because I can't control them. If I were on the team...I would worry about the poor performances in two of the last three weeks repeating themselves.
because if they lose on Sunday and if we can win, then we get another rematch and the sweep can be forgotten

Uh-huh. Sorry, but I know a lot of over-emotional Cowboys fans who will be seething about that Christmas loss for a loooooooong time, regardless of what may happen in a rematch. Espeacially those nimrods chanting "Eagles suck" while the Eagles were spankin that ass. Talk about making yourself look foolish. On the flip side, Eagles fans have been given a new lease on life this season. We've gone from looking at draft boards to talking playoffs. We're just happy to be here at this point. As far as I'm concerned, everything after "Christamas beatdown 2006" is all gravy.
That reminds me. I need to throw on one of my Eagles jersey's and head to Wal-Mart. I was getting some pretty funny looks wearing one yesterday, and that was just at the corner store. Wal-Mart oughta be ten times as good.![]()
Last year I wore my Broncos jersey all over town the day after Ron Dayne went up the middle in overtime on Thanksgiving. Man that was fun.
actually nevermind, the only way we can play the Eagles is if they get to the NFC championship. and we know they're not getting there![]()
LOL @ making fun of a team that just whipped the out of your team.
if they win on Sunday, then win the first round game, then there season will end in Chicago![]()
what about the 9ers?
Hey, whatever helps you sleep at night.![]()
You are a dumbass to think that a lot of Cowboys fans are still sad from the loss. I was pissed that day but I was over it within 15 mins because I was spending my Christmas time when family and friends. Get over it.
Caught me another one!
And you can Spare me the BS HF3. You're notorious for overreacting to even the most miniscule bad things that happen to your teams, so you'll have to forgive me if I don't buy the whole "I was over it in 15 minutes" story.
i imagine more then a few cowboys fans declared "christmas cancelled" after that embarrasing loss.![]()
undoubtedly, since the NFL and christmas have so much to do with one another.
Reminds me of the time I trolled Dallas in my Duncan jersey a day after we beat them in the 03 WCF. Suckers.
Neither are the Boys if Romo has another 2 pick, 3 sack game. Or if T.O. keeps dropping balls![]()
^I'll admit as a Cowboys fan it was a tough loss to take, especially losing to the hated eagles. But, we're still in the playoffs and anything can happen once you get there. I don't realistically expect this Dallas team to win a Super Bowl this season, but getting a playoff win and then building on that towards next season would be a great ending to the season.
Oh yeah, and at the end of the day, I also know my Cowboys have dominated a lot more than they've lost over the years. As for eagle fans, call me when your team has actually won the big one, until then hanging your hat on conference wins is all you've got. Fairly pathetic if you ask me.
Besides Andy Reid still can't manage the clock to save his life.
What's fairly pathetic to me is hanging your hat on past history rather then the season that is going on right ing now. How much do you think Parcells, Romo, TO, Newman, etc, care about the past history of their team right now rather then the present? None, so you shouldn't either. The offseason is the time to brag about the past history of your team so get over it.
I seem to recall the Spurs getting the beat out of them by the Pistons on Christmas. That one didn't ruin my holiday, so the Cowboys continuing to play no defense wasn't going to screw it up for me. It probably helps that my parents don't get the networks on satellite and I had to sneak looks at the humiliation on a static filled picture in a spare room.
I'm just excited about the slim possibility of the Cowboys pulling off the huge upset and managing to lose by less than 31 points. It's difficult to believe that it's been so long since that dismantling of the Vikings, which was totally unexpected at the time.
