Just finished Saints Row, actually a pretty good game that I had a fun time with. It did get a little bit predictable as I went on, but overall I had a good time with it. Not a game I will hang on to, probably will trade it in to get Rainbow 6, or GRAW.
Also, Baseline (or anyone else that might know), I have a question for you on the patches. I have an XBOX 360, if I begin playing a game like Oblivion which you were saying needs a patch so that it won't crash, do I have to sign up with Xbox live services in order to get the patch? I don't play online with my 360, just something I've never really gotten into. However, I'm about to begin Oblivion and don't want to get way into it and then have it crash on me. Can you just go on line and get the patch without paying the yearly sign up fee?

I'm glad to see 1 person that agrees with me. It's not the best looking game out there, it's a bit buggy, but it's fun. Who here played duck hunt or mario bros. for the great engine?
As for Saints Row, I barely killed off Las Carnales, on to the VK's, but now that I have that Mansion, I'm getting into the vehicle customization so I can fill up the garage.

XBox Live Silver is free, and that's all you need to download the patches (ie, le updates). The Umbra quest that DarkReign was talking about is the one that crashes your game without the patch, and like DarkReign said, going on it to get the Umbra sword and armor is one of the first things you should do.
How did you do that?
Did you know about the item duplicating bug? If you have an unpatched version of Oblivion you can duplicate any item:
1) Equip a bow
2) Equip a set of arrows (say you have x number of arrows equipped)
3) Hold RT to pull an arrow back in your bow
4) Go to your inventory without shooting the arrow
5) Try to drop your equipped arrows
6) Drop (almost) any item
7) Exit out of the menu to go back to the game
8) Let the arrow go
9) Now there will be x copies of the item you dropped on the ground
This works for 95% of the items that you can drop in the game.
That might have been a really bad idea. There's a very long quest that requires you to have 5 grand soul gems, which are a pain in the ass to find anywhere but the places you can steal them from. It's also a quest that will become your #1 priority for 99% of the people who play the game.Stole 6 grand soul gems, filled em, enchanted my Umbra armor with +10 strength per piece. I was a God of ownage at lvl 6. In the Arcane University. 30 Ninroot collected. Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, Fighters, etc.
the def jam demo comes out thurday. the whole fight to the rhythm of the music thing makes it seem like a killer. and the other def jam games were badass too.
It's a great day for those who prefer the 2k football games than the mediocre Madden games. It was officially announced that 2k will release a football game this year for next gen consoles. NFL 2k5 was the , and I know All Pro Football 2k8 is gonna kick ass as well.
With fake names and teams? I'm all up for getting away from ty EA football games (I loved Madden up to about 2 years ago when they get super ty), but if they are unlicensed... eh.

i haven't played my ps2 except for the occasional Devil May Cry 3 round abouts since i got my 360, but i'll definately have to start playing it again when god of war 2 comes out.
It could be a much better game with killer graphics, better commentary, etc, but if it has fake names, teams and stadiums...... it just won't be the same.
I play on PC, not 360, so autorun is keyed.
BUT!
If youre a 360 player, enter sneak mode, get behind anybody sitting down (or sleeping) and face yourself into a corner....rubberband your left stick to "autowalk/run" into that corner...goto bed. The game will stop when you rank (the confirmation screen), but it is by far the easiest way to rank Sneak. You can do that trick to get all the way to Master at lvl 1 (takes 5 nights of doing that trick though).
The Wynon Pryry is good because there are only 2 people in the building, and one of them has a routine where he sits at the downstairs table for LONG stretches. The table sits right near the staircase which is a perfect corner to autorun or "rubber band autorun" into while you sleep.

I re-bought the PS2 for no ther reason than God of War. GoW2 will be the last game I ever buy for PS2...as I am sure thats true for pretty much all PS2 owners.

hehe...I am a loot , so money is never an issue for me. If I do contract vampirism, Ill just goto each Mage Hall in all towns. There is always one vendor in each that sells an empty Grand Soul Gem (they restock as well, but only so often).

Lego Star Wars is quite entertaining. My fiance loves it. And she hasn't seen ALL the SW movies! Blasphemous! Well I didn't propose to her based on her taste for movies.
I also spent a good couple of hours playing Dead Rising. It's pretty cool. You + 72 hours+ zombies= fun.
It gets a little hectic at times with soooo many pinatas, but it's pretty cool.

Illegible text on SDTV's and too skimpy of a budget to hire voice actors, like I want to read during a video game, and some old that keeps trying to talk to you while you are in a mall full of zombies that want to kill you, and you can't talk and kill at the same time and you can't ignore him...
Yeah, the lack of voice actors was annoying, and the text was a little small, but c'mon, do your 360 a favor and go HD.
That game was annoying either way, but running over zombies with a lawn mower was pretty satisfying, but no way I'd buy that game for more than 25.00....
I did have an HDTV but I took it back because HD sucks...
