Schottenheimer.
Won't happen.

Steelers have a great 04-05 regular season, don't win the Superbowl, win in 06.
Colts have a great 05-06 regular season, don't win the Superbowl, win in 07.
Chargers have a great 06-07 regular season, don't win the Superbowl. See the trend here. 08 here we come.
Plus, it will be played in Arizona, and I live here now, and if there is a God, the Chargers will be playing in the Superbowl and I will be there.
How many years did people say, "Manning, not going to happen" Again, the trends continue.
The Colts owner was asked a week ago how the Colts made it to the Superbowl. His answer............"We got lucky the Patriots beat the Chargers"
Your sad attempt at a prediction can apply to more than just San Diego. New Orleans had an awesome season, Chicago had a "good" season, not awesome, mainly because they play in a division that the Texans or Raiders could've won, but they could be back if Grossman learns how to play quarterback. Eagles had a great turnaround and lost a close one...
Jim Irsay is a ing poon job for saying that seeing how the Colts nearly lost to the Patriots. The way the Colts shut down big name backs and overcame "superior" defenses during this SB run, I wouldn't have been afraid of San Diego. I just don't think a team coached by Schottenheimer ever wins a Super Bowl, the guy is just bad luck. And since Cameron bolted for Miami, you gotta think that's going to hurt just a little since he was doing all the playcalling at the end of the season. If Martyball returns, SD is doomed.

New Orleans?
10-6 and playing in the NFC South equals an awesome season?
Coming back from last year's 3-13, with a rookie head coach and making the NFC championship does. You don't have to dominate teams on an easy schedule like SD did to have an awesome season. But whatever, homervision claims another poor soul. If you want to bet on a Marty Schottenheimer coached team winning the Super Bowl, that's your money to lose and your hopes to be let down.
I'm sorry, but they acquired Drew Brees, Reggie Bush, and had a healthy receiving core back this year. 10-6 is not that impressive.
that is not unreasonable.
Neither is going 14-2 on an easy schedule. Or you're just a bitter, disrespectful Chargers homer. I wonder.
14-2 with a first year starter isn't impressive? And their two losses were each by less than 6 points?
Who have I disrespected?
Not on the cakewalk schedule SD had. Toughest three teams SD played were Baltimore, Seattle and KC. Scary. If the Chargers were actually as good as that 14-2 was supposed to make them be, they wouldn't have tripped over their shoelaces against the Pats. That record was a mirage, exactly like the Bears record.
The Saints for their turnaround season. I guess there's no room for giving props to teams that leads the NFL in total offense, totally murder the new head coach's old team, clinch a playoff bye and make it to a conference le game in the first season back from not having a home stadium last year and a 3-13 record. Props on that AFC West banner, btw.Who have I disrespected?
Add the Steelers and the Broncos twice to that list. The Steelers were not playing ty when the Chargers played them and the Broncos have troubled the Chargers for years. Funny all this talking is coming from a guy whose team last year had a cakewalk schedule and didn't make the Superbowl (and had their perfect season ruined by the Chargers). The situations are identical, I don't see why you are trying to put the Chargers down. Every game they were supposed to win, the Chargers laid a beat down.

I'm a Drew Brees and Reggie Bush fan. I'm from San Diego and Bush played with my brother in High School. I've got no hate for New Orleans. I'm just not impressed with their season. Katrina happened quite a while ago, I'm over it.
Bears, that is, if they decide to do something with rex? doubt it, though.
Why would I be pissed? I don't hate the Colts.
Cowboys, going all the way, if not them maybe the Eagles if McNabb stays healthy. In the AFC, it will be between the Steelers, Colts, Chargers. I could see the Steelers being back in it, maybe Colts again
I say Chargers/ ans in the AFC Championship game and Eagles/Saints in the NFC Championship game.
