they have a great core of young players in alex smith, vernon davis, frank gore and antonio bryant........ they also have a good group of smart coaches in mike nolan, norv turner, mike singletary our new DC manusky....... aslong as we keep this group together we will go far

i think if we get the defense fixed in the offseason the niners will make the playoffs next season!

Your secondary sucks, except Spencer, your best d-lineman is anchient, got no lbs, Lawson pretty good for a rook, but Ulbrich? Smith? Those guys suck. No backup running back, Robinson might turn out ok. No true number 1 reciever, Bryant is ok, I dont know about a number 1. And Alex Smith hasnt proved anything yet except that one can rebound from 1 td to 11 int ratio.But yeah, if Gore can stay healthy and you get 10 more years out of Larry Allen I agree, good luck with being 6 and 10 next year

i agree. they have all they need to win the west or get a wild card and the play in the NFC which is a plus. all they need is a no. 1 WR

They need a lot more than that, especially considering their best defensive player is going into his 14th year

I cannot believe your putting A Bryant in the fold as one of your top guys. The 49ers WR's suck. Heck A Bryant could not stay with the Cowgirls or the Brownies.. but he can in 49er land?
