Rasho gives it a 10.
Don't get me wrong that is amazing, and I stand corrected, but with that said I don't think that they could do what Adrian Wilson did. Three steps and 30-40 feet lead start makes a huge difference, not to mention height, I still think that Wilson's jump is more impressive. And on the flipside I don't think he could do what they did, but he out jump them, he's just not tall enough or long enough to dunk like they do.
Wilson's jump is basically his ability to fly his legs up, if you watch, his head doesn't travel the distance you would think. It's impressive, but when measuring verts, it's more of who can get their feet up higher, which doesn't necessarily measure the distance traveled vertically.
And with the dunking part, holding a ball with two hands makes it a lot harder. And it's not like they need the whole 30-40 foot lead start, much of it is jogging up. They could probably do it with much less space.
damn. he could be an olympic high jumper.
That is not at all how they measure a vert, has nothing to do with lifting knees and height of feet, at all. Vert should be based on reach.
And no they couldn't do it with less space, or they would have.
