DIOOOOOOO thats the man, good things happen to good people
Maybe it's just me, but there's no celebrity that's worth passing up 20K just to meet and play basketball with. Meeting him would be a cool story - but having no car payments, ring payments, or a healthy IRA would make a cooler story.

Whatever you choose mr dio you cant go wrong. luck was on your side that day, it will stand by you on your decision.
Congrats, Dio...!
Dio, if you do go, can I give you a pair of my Air Jordans to get autographed for me?
That's awesome! "Charlie, you've won the golden ticket!!!"
If you do happen to sell the redemption card on eBay does the transaction have to be declared to the IRS?
Awesome, congrats ... but if you accept the prize directly from the sponsor you will have to pay about $5K in income tax (28% of $17.5K, unless you're making big bucks) and they usually make you do that up-front. So not quite "free".
Legally, yes. I have no idea what sales, if any, eBay reports to the IRS. When you win more than a coupla K at a casino they report it (or they used to, it's been a while) but I'm not sure if eBay is required by law/statute to do the same.If you do happen to sell the redemption card on eBay does the transaction have to be declared to the IRS?
Good luck!
Mr Dio = GhostWriter?
That's awesome, congratulations.
That is awesome. I have met MJ and he is very cool by the way. You probably should consider what kind of shape you are in before deciding to go. That is a real camp with real drills and you don't want to have a heart attack. That would be a tough decision for me. I would love to go to that camp, but banking $20K would be very nice too. Congrats!
Wow. I am jealous and happy for you. It would be awesome to meet the greatest basketball player ever. However, getting rid of some debt and surprising your girl is far more important in my opinion. I say sell it, but that is just me. Anyway, big congratulations to you sir!!!
lucky people like you make me sick.... my brother was like that, always finding money along the road or some .
I always beat him up and took it away though..... so where did you say you lived again?![]()
WOW.....
I am so thrilled for you Dio.
Awesome to read the story on here from one of us in the community we call Spurstalk.
So cool!
jordan..take the money. like someone else said, who gives a about meeting a celebrity. 20k.. or even 10k.. , even 500 bucks is better than meeting a celebrity.
