Good point...Celtics fans have scoreboard on Spurs fans though???

there probably aren't too many Spurs fans out there that would prefer that the Spurs be 60-11 right NOW anyway...

Does the east have a 60+win team? Cause it seems thats the only thing stopping the Mavs this year according to statistics.

Yeah, I'm trying to jinx them.

    Would we prefer it? Sure.

Are we going to say that they are washed up, finished and will be dominated by the Mavs for the next 10 years because we are only on pace to win somewhere between 57-60? No.

There are some Mavs fans who can't seem to understand why Spurs fans are not lamenting the demise of the their team simply because for the first time ever the Mavs were able to beat them in a playoff series and finally have a better regular season record.

For being a team on pace to win 70 games potentially, it is still going to take them until the final 10 games of the season to simply win their division. You'll have to forgive me if I don't consider the Spurs the Mavs' es at this point.

I agree actually...flip a coin on a Mavs - Spurs, Spurs - Suns, or Mavs - Suns 7 game series...

My comment was directed towards the many Spurs fans here giving the Mavs no credit for their REGULAR season, referring to # of rings, etc etc...but if the SPURS were having the Mavs regular season they'd be all over it, mentioning all the same milestones that Mavs fans and the media have mentioned. Mavs fans are getting slammed with "regular season means $hit" type responses. Of course it means $hit, but it's still rare for a team to have the season the Mavs are having...

Well, I will admit that we would clink our Miller Lite longnecks in a toast over a 60 win season, mainly because that is what it has taken to win the division the last several years. But you have to admit that there are some Mavs fans on this site who celebrated 60 like it had never happened before, using words such as "incredible" and "milestone". Are they such casual fans that they did not realize that their team has been in the upper echelon of the league for most of this decade?

Yes, there are some idiots here...NO DOUBT.

I don't think anybody is celebrating 60 wins really. The only thing cool about "60" is that they've only played 71 games. If the Mavs didn't win 60 this year I wouldn't have been happy with their season...
