so what did you have?
I went there last night and was blown away. I was expecting the normal Tex-Mex dishes that are served in hundreds and hundreds of Mexican restaurants here in SA. While they did have a few of the staple Tex-Mex dishes, most of their menu is comprised of dishes from Mexico City and Oaxaca (I called the manager over and inquired about the menu to find this out). Another thing that struck me was how extensive the menu was. Their dinner menu is about 5 or 6 pages long. The food and atmosphere were both great.
Just wanted to pass it on to those who may want to try something more authentic.
A dish called "Camarones Ahogados". It was shrimp in a tomatillo sauce with white cheese.
Sounds fantastic.
I'll have to take my guys over there for lunch, they will apreciate a taste of home.
They are open for lunch, as I picked up a few takehome menus. It's on Blanco between West and Bitters. I think before it opened up as El Callejon, it was another restaurant called Matisse.
sound great.
One day before opening at the Fiesta, ill take my workers over there. Thanks for hte info IX!!
Thanks for the heads up. We'll go there so that I can write a review about the place.
