don't know about the spurs, but for the mavericks, it would be much better to match up against the clippers as the eighth seed than the warriors who have pwned us in so many ways the last two years
oh yeah, for the spurs it just puts them even further ahead of the fourth-seeded jazz who at one point were close to catching them...i don't see that happening

The Utah meltdown pretty much gets the team at least a third seed.
no problem. the warriors are a good team but for some reason, they have been pwning us the last two years. obviously this is not de rigeur for them or they would be much higher up in the seeds and play this way on a consistent basis. i think it was last season, dirk scored something like 54 points and the warriors just barely eked out a win, so frustrating. the problem is, they match up really well against the mavs and it doesn't help that they have a coach who knows everything there is to know about certain players on the mavs team.ahh i see. i honestly don't know how the warriors aren't further up, i saw the game they played against you guys, and w o w. they're pretty scary if they have been beating you guys. oh and thanks for pointing it out!

It puts them farther behind the Spurs for the third seed, and a possible matchup with the Rockets as opposed to the Lakers or Nuggets.
Also, they could be on the verge of not having home court if they do face Houston despite being locked in at the #4 seed (for winning the Northwest division).
